Requested an extra pillow and it was given to me within the hour. Friendly staff. Clean room. Very close to train station and also to promenade. Fantastic location. Would highly recommend.

property located in a quiet residential area located at 20 minutes walk from town centre .property is a bid dated and could do with a bit more cleaning .no much water coming for the shower ,bed and sofa bed very uncomfortable and we had a cockroach visiting while we were there .we found a trap under the sink in toilet therefore business must be aware of issue. not many choices for a family room in the area especially at last minute but we won’t return in this hotel

Hotel is basic but clean, reception had a damp smell, but room was clean and warm, only stayed for one night and didn’t spend anytime in the room, room had a fridge but it was noisy, bed seemed comfy enough,

We were welcomed warmly and made to feel comfortable The room was basic but had everything we needed The room was absolutely spotless - bedding and towels were impeccable and every where was cleaned to a high standard As a cleaning business owner I look in the non obvious places for dirt and found none - this is the most important thing for me when staying in hotels It is not a fancy hotel but perfect for our needs, and every member of staff we encountered was friendly and helpful We come to Southend often for events at the cliffs pavilion and are delighted to have found a clean and friendly hotel to stay in each time - we will definitely be back

Had a good time at this hotel, made even better by the lovely staff who work there. The vibe is homely and comforting, slightly older build but generally the best it could be given the age. Cleanliness was good too, overall nothing to complain about. Would definitely recommend.
