Had a great stay at this hotel. Parking was easy and I was greeted by a friendly member of staff at reception. My room was clean and tidy and contained everything I required. I'd definitely stay here again when I'm back in the area.

Liked everything, only problem was with expedia. Paid for breakfast, but hotel didn't have record of it. Luckily I envisaged something like this, so had printed the very difficult to find in the emails confirmation of having paid for it..

the location was the only negative for me.a walk up a hill from the bay area.but all the plusses made up for it.

This hotel is more or less old, but with the comfort of a typical hotel, the food is always good. The staff is nice and attentive, especially the waiter called Kevin. Our double room on the ground floor was small, but clean and comfortable, especially for those who like springy mattresses.

I had an enjoyable stay. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Easy access to other resorts by bus steep walk back up the hill. To get around, grab a taxi for 5.

I highly recommend you visit this hotel, my family and friends. My mother and I visited the Devonshire Hotel for the first time on a dish-coach holiday. It was a wonderful stay and a fantastic deal. The staff was extremely welcoming, courteous, and helpful. The room was very contemporary and the bed was adequate, and you could have everything you needed inside. We greeted a lot of friendly people, and the cuisine was excellent. There was excellent entertainment, there was a heated pool despite the fact that I didn't use it lol. The hotel was on a hill, but there was a bus that took us to the town. Thank you for a great stay.

I came back from a journey on a dishcraft bus to this hotel and I am very pleased with the service provided. They have a clean, great outdoor pool with good entertainment. The location is good to walk to town from the hotel, but the hilly part is very steep. You can take a bus to and from the hotel for free if you're of certain age. Great trip to Babaombe Theatre for a good night out.

To get to the property by foot the incline is steep. Buses are only one an hour to and from the hotel to take you into the town however once in the town plenty of buses in the town to take you to Paignton, cockington village, Brixham etc. We had a family room, spacious but very outdated. Some facilities need replacing i.e single bed, rocking and squeeking. Gets very warm in the room but reception had plenty of fans. Pool was lovely, our youngest loved it. Staff were friendly and helpful. Obliging to keep our luggage too for checking in and out. There is entertainment on an evening but we didnt use it.
