Very helpful staff that made check in a pleasure...for once. Although the accommodation was basic it was fit for purpose & clean. An excellent cooked breakfast was included which was duly gobbled up before departing. Would certainly stay here again.

Very friendly and helpful staffs. We got in late from international flights. The staffs let us stayed extra hours to sleep next day due to jet lag. Also let us store luggages for 8 hours before we can get into the next accommodation. Upon departure, we have wonderful assistance with warm smiles to load our luggages. It's a wonderful experience to stay at Forest Gate Hotel!

Nice hotel situated on top of a classic British pub. No noise was heard from the pub. Great personal service. Wonderful freshly cooked breakfast. Simple rooms but with all you need including a tea kettle. The building is old but the hotel personnel makes up for this, friendly and attentive. Good location to Forest Gate station with restaurants and stores.

For budget London accommodation I was impressed with the Forest Gate Hotel. Pros: quiet location, easy walking distance to the tube (Olympic park 2stops away), affordable (for London prices), clean sheets, comfy bed, fridge, microwave, tea and coffee in room. Fire doors and a solid door lock. Shared toilet and showers but they are clean enough, a decent size and will good locks on the door. Staff are friendly and breakfast was simple but a bonus the next day, and was cooked fresh. Cons: it's an old building and it isn't freshly painted and high spec. If you're looking for luxury, you'll have to pay the cost. But it doesn't detract from this being a solid option for somewhere to sleep well for a couple of nights. I'd recommend it here and I'd stay again.

The price was great , shame they didnt do food but they were happy with eating a take out in the bar !! Great pint of Stella served , basic but good value , quiet and a good bed !

After reading other reviews i was concerned but there was no need i was only staying for one night and it was more than satisfactory for my needs. Room had a fridge a flat screen telly tea and coffee it was small but clean. This is not the hotel if you are in london for a holiday it is not a upmarket hotel but a east end pub with accomodation and as such was good value for money. if i am back next year i will stay there again

Staff were lovely but the room was not particularly clean. The carpet was pulled up and sticky in some spots. People were arguing loudly within the hotel early in the morning and I was verbally harassed by someone in another room as I was leaving and felt unsafe walking back to the station. Breakfast was very nice though and the check out process was easy.

It was ok Nice staff member The showers are not very nice The Breakfast which consists of 1 rasher of bacon, 1 egg, 2 slices of toast and baked beans could be a lot lot better. There is no other option or choice for breakfast

I am assuming this is some kind of half-way house. Cleanliness is the basic requirement for any hotel. The sheets were stained, there was hair in the bed, the bathroom and toilets were disgusting. Nearly cried when I needed to use the loo! Did not bathe and left as soon as it was daylight. I paid £76.21 for this trauma!
