I booked here for two nights while I was working. But, not close to a cafe so I can get a good breakfast. I thought this was a wonderful cheap place to start your journey into the great countryside because it's only a 6 mile straight drive from the recon beacons and the pen y fan. I met james when I arrived, he was energetic and very helpful. It's close to the city center and a short but steep walk from the train station. Good parking, and a great entrance hall lead to a fabulous Victorian house that is tastefully decorated and has a well-appointed room.

We thought the plates and cups in the apartment were dirty and greasy because of that. The apartment is in a lovely property with free parking and a very welcoming proprietor. When I booked this location for our weekend getaway, it was stated that this was a studio apartment, but when we arrived, the lovely owner said that there is a room in our apartment that belongs to them and that they store their belongings there. It is understandable that to the point. Its not very professional to enter the apartment and use the room when visitors are inside. After that happened, it felt like we were not renting a studio, but rather a house with the neighbors of the house. Which spoils our opinion of this location and the whole experience. The room has a nice big bed, but the only problem was that the sheet kept falling off the mattress all the time as it was too small for the mattress. Mold was on the wall in one part of the apartment, it wasnt very pleasant to see it in the apartment. Shower door did not close properly. The apartment definitely needs some paper towels and hot water because it is impossible to wash dishes in cold water. We assume that the plates and cups in the apartment were stained and greasy because of that

The price was fair, so the location was close to Peny Fan and quite close to the Temple itself. The room is clean and nicely presented in the photos. We had good communication with the provider, who recommended many local restaurants and gave us tips on climbing Peny Fan.
