First time at hotel ,it is beautiful, the staff ,hotel , area ,the rooms. The staff go beyond & aboveto help you. Can not fault one thing ,will be back .The food in the restaurant was exceptional 😋. Thank you to all the staff .

Amazing staff, food of a high standard. Rooms especially windows need repainting, updating .Noisy if windows are left open. But I would highly recommend. Will be staying again.

Very comfortable stay at Le Bouchon. Staff were so attentive and helpful. Well appointed room with wall aircon for comfort. Pod coffee maker was a nice touch and to make a change the TV was of a good size to be able to sit up in bed and watch! Breakfast options were so varied and it was all made freshly. Downsides - there was no USB ports in the plug sockets - i luckily had a power bank with me to charge a phone. The toast for breakfast was dry despite butter.

Just booked this last minute as we were at a music festival just down the road from second one I was met with the most friendly staff I was shown round everywhere then taken to my lovely room perfect. When we arrived back we were again met with a lovely staff member and our sleep was amazing highly recommended must stay here if your in the area

This hotel is a real find. It is 5 star. From Clare at check in, with Aron who carried our bags up 2 flights of stairs (the building is 300 years old and the owners cannot get permission to install a lift!), to Piotr and Aron who provided excellent service during the evening meal and last but not least to Emma who looked after us at breakfast. The selection of dishes on the evening meal menu was excellent and the quality of the food coming out of the kitchen was second to none. If you are visiting the Heybridge Maldon region for any reason stat in this hotel!

The evening meal, the bed and above all the staff were exceptional. A special mention to the American lady at breakfast time. A few details may need addressing : no plug for the hairdryer near the dressing table in the Junior Suite and not great lighting for doing your make up…maybe a desk lamp… The whole place is immaculate. Would definitely recommend.

For wedding parties not exclusively hiring Le Bouchon for their celebrations there will be a GBP 250 surcharge on each room booked for the bride and bridesmaids. There will also be a further GBP 250 surcharge each for both photographers and videographers on the day.Rooms are allocated on a first come, first served basis. The management will consider requests for specific rooms but cannot guarantee them.Please note that guests will be charged if any damage or loss to the property occurs during a guests' stay.All of our bedrooms are accessed via a staircase, due to being a Grade II listed building, we do not have a lift. Please note that our Deluxe King, Classic King and Junior Suite rooms are located on the top floor, and require another set of stairs to access. Should you have limited mobility, or require assistance with stairs, please make our reception team aware upon booking so they can allocate you a first floor room subject to availability.
