There’s free coffee near the Reception! It’s a great location if you have a car and would like to take the train in Edinburgh and sample many whiskys. A very walkable town.

Great location and private car park close by. Good eating choices within 5 mins and great to be able to walk to the Loch again within 5 mins. couldn't fault the property

This was the best place we have ever stayed. One of the owners of this converted bank building greeted us personally and made us feel very welcome. The room and property were top notch. The location is amazing. There is so much to see here. Literally in direct sight of the Linlithgow Palace and church. An absolute dream of a place to stay. We cannot wait to come back! We are including some great pictures of the Linen Bank Residence building from the outside, as well as one with the view from out of our window. It was spectacular!

Lovely central location in an awesome facility. Staff were brilliant and very helpful in getting us settled in. Room was clean, well laid out and with a very up to date bathroom, which although a little small (one person at time type size) was fully functional and great to use. Small kitchen complemented the room and well stocked with little treats to have with coffee or tea. Coffee machine in the reception area only helps to give the guest a feeling of being looked after. Plenty of eating places (cafes, coffee shops, pubs) within stepping distance out from the front door but it should be noted some of these close about 6pm so if you’re a later eater take this into consideration, the Four Mary’s pub down the road (all of about 80m) does a great meal with equally great service. Just of note are the windows in the room (we had) have large window reveals and one can bash one’s head if not careful; only took two hits to learn. Overall, would have no hesitation staying again and probably for more than a few days.

Everything was excellent! Such a cute hotel and such a lovely town. We felt perfectly safe and at home during our stay. We stayed for 5 nights and took the train to Edinburgh, Melrose and Stirling. The hotel is close to the train station and very close to several lovely cafes. The price was reasonable. The room was lovely-comfortable beds, nice linens and nice soaps/shampoos. If we ever come back to the area, we will stay here!

Unterkunft liegt zentral, viel kann auch zu Fuß gemacht werden, z.B. Linlithgow Palace. Viel Gastronomie in unmittelbarer Nähe. Zimmer war extrem klein, aber hat gereicht. Einrichtung ist gut, neu, in Qualität wurde allerdings gespart. Sauberkeit war tipptopp. Alles in allem ganz wunderbar und absolut empfehlenswert.
