I loved my stay at Malmaison!! Apart from the novel concept, the property was very beautiful and well-maintained, it was centrally located, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. I was nervous about the lack of AC in standard cell rooms during the heatwave, but the building’s cooling system + fan was incredibly effective. We were also provided with complimentary water due to the heat, which was a game changer. I would definitely stay here again

The staff were so friendly, so helpful--ordering us a taxi, explaining about the Oxford Bus to Heathrow, etc. The concept of turning a prison into a hotel--wow! Our room was fabulous. The whole setting and what has been done with this enormous golden stone building is so imaginative and fun. Great location for walking/shopping in Oxford. Close to everything.

Excellent place, immaculately clean. Staff were superb. Great location for getting around the City. If I had a criticism, it relates to the cost of breakfast. For the amount charged I would expect high quality ingredients - the cooked breakfast presented was of the same standard as Premier Inn/Travelodge. The continental option lacked cheese and meats and again, the selection did not live up to the price charged. Hotel great, breakfast disappointing.

A lovely night away with a fantastic breakfast. Quirky staying in an old jail but enjoyed the atmosphere and history. Breakfast was amazing. Freshly cooked and ample selection in the continental area. A great place to stay.
