Had an amazing stay at this lovely house, which is located on the main road with excellent bus connectivity to royal mile. Kitchen is fully equiped and cleanliness was maintained.

I had the opportunity to stay at Mayfield Suites for a full month due to some unexpected issues with my flat rental, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. Not once did I consider moving elsewhere, it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish! From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by Moe, who was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was spotless and very well maintained, which made it feel comfortable and homely over such a long period. Having a fridge and microwave in the room was especially convenient for an extended stay. The location is another big plus, I enjoy walking, and it only took me about 15–20 minutes to reach the city centre. There are also easy bus options nearby, a Tesco just a 10 minutes walk away, and even parking available right in front of the hotel. Overall, I was extremely happy with everything and would highly recommend Mayfield Suites to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay.

I often stay in Edinburgh for work and this is by far the best hotel I stayed in. Amazing value for money. I was impressed by the room, which was large, warm and well equipped. Very homely. Quiet neighbourhood. Quick check-in provided that you communicate your estimated arrival time in advance. Many buses will take you to the city centre in 10min. It will be my go-to place next time I'm in town.

Other than a ten minute wait when I first arrived (the proprietors were off site) my stay was amazing. The proprietors were helpful and welcoming and the room spacious, warm and comfortable. It includes a good sized fridge, microwave and kettle so those on a budget can do basic meal prep. I love being out in Edinburgh but its also nice to have a comfortable base to return to at night. The proprietor also allowed me to leave my car parked out front for a few hours after checked out for another trip into town. All round a really good experience.

The rooms are updated, very clean, with decent wifi. Overall, I would stay here again. The rest of this review is small things I wish I knew before booking: This location has very few rooms (I think 4?) and there isn't an attendant there at all times. Communication with the staff is done through a Ring doorbell type system. So they need to know when you're checking in so someone can be there to give you the key. The furnishings, while new, are low quality and 2 of the 7 small drawers in my room were broken. The heat wasn't working in my room but they fixed that in a few hours after reporting. The bed was firm, which I prefer, so 5 stars there. The bathroom was very small. I'm an above average size guy and I barely fit in the space for the toilet and had to squeeze into the small shower. There are no charging ports in the room so bring a few adapters if coming from outside the UK. This didn't affect us but if you have any mobility issues these rooms may not work.

Very clean, cute, kitchenette was convenient, location was good- easy and lots of buses to town centre-walkable about 30 mins. Bed was comfortable. Furniture was basic. Shower was small. No coffee maker. Ikea/Dollar store meets clean, old charming building with beautiful windows.
