Please ignore any historical reviews about the hotel and its previous need of modernisation. The hotel has had a complete refit - in fact I was speaking to a hotel maintenance employee, he said that the floor I was staying on had quite literally had a refit the previous week! Good value for money, and literally next door to Stoke on Trent railway station (It's the old station hotel) I would not hesitate to stay there again.

over all it was excellent stay but what put me off was WIFI ,if you are on ground floor then WIFI is free but in your rooms you need to pay for wifi which is 7 pound's per day which is ridiculously expensive. if per room is charged even 1 pounds per day business can easily make pout per month from paying for internet services. I think wifi should be free for all rooms. else everything was good.

Staff are awsome and verry helpfull room was nice good sleep nice hit shower good food and lots of options for delivery foods for when the restaurant is closed, as well as less than 5 minute walk from corner shops and gas station that is open 24/7

Friendly Staff. Central location. We were not bothered by the near by railway but by the noise from other rooms; poor noise insulation. Black mould on the window frame was worrying and showed the dilapidated condition of the fabric of the building.

I had an excellent stay at this hotel made special by brilliant members of staff. There was a slight issue with room allocations but I was informed and a solution was made before arrival. On top of this was offered a complimentary breakfast to say sorry.

We have been staying periodically at the North Stafford Hotel over the last 4 years and have always enjoyed it. We have always found the staff helpful and our rooms clean and comfortable. If ever there was a problem staff have dealt with it promptly. It is a budget hotel but has retained some lovely original architectural features, which hopefully could be restored to its former glory with some investment.

Rooms are basic and small, its ok if just want room to put your head down. Rooms could do with some basic upgrading to help make them look more modern Shower was good, very powerful but if your short there is struggle actually to climb into the bath to get under shower as side part of bath is quite wide Staff very friendly and helpful. Very central and littarly 1 min walk from train station and bus stops
