This is an amazing find. The decor and atmosphere really stunning. The staff attitude and manner fantastic. Facilities brilliant and food terrific. I can’t rate this highly enough. Two small thoughts. For bad weather coat hooks just inside bedrooms would be useful. For lone female travellers a secondary lock/chain/fastener on door would ease any concerns. I actually put a chair by the door probably overly anxious about nighttime’s but it’s a consideration. Thank you once again I will definitely book again.

Best customer service, real genuine staff. Travelled with two dogs and the room with patio doors straight onto a garden area is brilliant. Our room was large and very comfy. They supply our two dogs with beds each , food and drinking bowls, towels , bedding, treats!!! Superb service. Breakfast was delicious too! Highly recommend . They have indoor pool too which we didn’t use.

Lovely clean room, excellent power shower and super deep bath. Very helpful staff and a great atmosphere throughout. We enjoyed the pool and the spa facial and massage were fabulous. It seemed to be a place where guests returned several times, and we could see why. Great place for a Cornish break. We'd definitely stay again.

Staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The room was beautiful, clean and well supplied with coffee tea etc. We used to stay at the Penventon regularly 20 years ago and the standard has not slipped one bit. The reason for our visit was to meet with a lost member of family and she lived local to the Penventon Hotel so it worked out perfectly for us.

We only stayed the one night, so didnt get chance to use the facilities. Although we didnt have a dog, there was plenty of evidence that the hotel was very dog friendly. We had a very nice double room on the ground floor. It was clean and welcoming. There was a variety of chairs to sit on. Much more comfy than squatting on the side of the bed. The bathroom was also spotlessly clean with a lovely walk in shower and a bath. Lovely large white fluffy bath towels. Our stay came with a breakfast, which was really appreciated as we had a long drive back home. The menu choice was good and varied. Overall we enjoyed our stay and wouldnt hesitate in recommending to others. The only thing that spoilt our stay was my husband getting black marks on his hand going to breakfast. From the ground flloor rooms, there is a small number of steps going down to the reception and restaurant area. Im guessing that the handrail had been cleaned with a metal polish and the residue had not been polished off sufficiently. My husband has mobility issues and would have gripped the handrail quite tightly to help navigate the steps. Luckily there was lovely thick paper napkins on our table, so i was able to wipe most of the marks off.
