Overall, quite comfortable and welcoming, but renovations will probably be required. I was only staying one night at the hostel and needed a cheap place to stay as a uni student. I was in a mixed room of 10 people along with two friends. The staff was very friendly and let us store our bags in a locked room before and after check out while we explored london. There were quite a few people who were obviously regulars and the lobby is comfortable with a small bar. Unfortunately, no kitchen, but breakfast was provided for 3 pounds. I was at the top bunk of a threeperson bunk bed, which was quite creaky to the touch, with a locker for each person, but there was not much floor space considering the number of people. For the number of people on each floor, they must have more bathrooms. Two toilets and three showers simply are not enough, mixed gender. The location was excellent and pretty much what I expected for the price, given that it was the cheapest I could find for a Saturday night in london. I reserved through the Phoenix hostel website.

This is the first time I've stayed here, and the staff is friendly and will make you laugh. Despite the social distancing, I still feel very safe in the same atmosphere this year.

This is one of the best hostels I have stayed in. I had a good experience while staying here. The condition of the rooms is tidy and cheap, the location is also in a good location. I've also stayed in a few places on my travels, and I think I spoke to a manager who is not sure but who is incredibly helpful and friendly. Can't ask for more.

This place is not recommended by you. The location of this hotel in London was great because I was very lucky to be able to find phoenix. At the front desk, we made a last-minute reservation. The hotel is in an excellent position. In no time, we made our reservation. Geoff at the front desk was incredibly proficient, efficient, and welcoming. Even though it was a busy Sunday night in a typical pub in London, he was extremely quick to get to work! For a hostel, the cleanliness is good. I slept well during his early nights, and the bathroom was roomy and spotless. When I departed, I woke up a little early, checked out a little early, and was given a complimentary cup of coffee, maybe because the cashier wasn't open yet. The reception is now open at 1100 a.m., I enjoyed my coffee while in the front desk, which was just the perfect start to the day of London. Overall, I had a wonderful night's sleep and a wonderful morning, and I would heartily suggest Phoenix to all hostel seekers! A phoenix team will thank you!

Very warm and polite welcome. Property is under new management and it looks like some fresh re-painting and repairs has been done recently. It was moderately clean.
