Stay here!!!! This pub and inn is amazing. Great friendly staff, awesome rooms and great location to trails and port Isaac. If you’re American like me and afraid of driving down to the inn, no worries there is a car park at the top of the hill that is easy to park in and walk down a steep hill to the inn. Parking is a fee but not expensive. Pub food was great! Overall super happy with my stay (:

Ankom søndag eftermiddag i solskin til denne fine perle i udkanten af Port Isaac. Kunne ikke have valgt et bedre sted at afslutte vores rundrejse i Cornwall. Blev mødt af fantastisk hjælpsomt personale selv på en virkelig travl søndag, hvor der var godt gang i både pub og udeservering. Fin indtjekning, skønne værelser med dejlig indretning, vidunderlig pub og god mulighed for at sidde ude med udsigt til vandet og klipperne. Spiste på pubben (Sunday roast) og maden var fabelagtig. De skønneste velsmagende starters til deling og en god steg med tilbehør til middag. Min ledsager fik fish&chips, og portionerne var enorme. Hotellet ligger en kort men stejl gåtur fra Port Isaac, hvor der er fin. lokal cornish stemning. Kan bestemt anbefale Hotel Port Gaverne til rejsende i denne del af Cornwall. Kommer meget gerne tilbage for placeringen, maden, stemningen og det skønne personale, som hygger om gæsterne på en afslappet, imødekommende og venlig facon. Tak.

The location is absolutely perfect. The meals we had - breakfast and dinner - were all quite tasty. The staff works so hard to make sure everyone’s stay is enjoyable. We will recommend this hotel to everyone who will be coming to this area.

Great hotel and stay at the Port Gaverne Hotel Our room faced the sea and the bed was super comfy. Great facilities tea and coffee with fresh milk, and the dry robes were a lovely touch. We ate breakfast each morning of our 4 night stay and 2 evening meals Great food and drinks We were able to walk into Port Gaverne which only took around 10/15 minutes We would 100% return Great staff and very friendly

We had an amazing stay at Port Gaverne, beautiful location, amazing breakfast, very dog friendly. Dinner at pilchards next door was a delight, all the chefs are very talented. Staff were extremely friendly, in particular Andreas, Joanna and Mike (whose made our delicious breakfast each morning) thank you for making our stay very special, we will be back!

What an absolute gem - full of character, amazing staff, spacious, clean rooms, quality furnishings, delicious food, wonderful breakfast - is that enough superlatives?! The setting of this hotel is out of a picture book - I’m sure the smugglers came up the beach to drink at the pub!’

We arrived at the hotel on foot while walking the South West Coast Path and couldn’t have asked for a better stop along the way. After a long day on the trail, we received a really friendly welcome and immediately felt at home. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable and restful night and we both slept incredibly well listening to the sea nearby. One of the highlights was an early morning swim in the sea before breakfast. The perfect way to start another day on the coast path. We then enjoyed one of the most wonderful breakfasts of our trip. A peaceful, welcoming place in a beautiful location and exactly what you hope to find when travelling the coast path on foot. We’d happily stay again.

The Port Gaverne Hotel was overall excellent. The location is incredibly beautiful, and the rooms were large, clean, recently remodeled and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was top rated and delicious. Be sure to park at the hotel entrance for check in and check out as the actual parking lot is far from the reception area.

Lovely historic hotel in an absolutely stunning coastal setting. Close to walks and the village of Port Isaac. You must like hills. The views are breathtaking. The hotel is part of an excellent local restaurant and a well-loved and cozy pub. We found the staff very friendly and helpful from start to finish. Breakfasts were opulent, and the quality of the food at night equally high. The building's historic character means that tall people should watch their heads on occasion, and the rooms are not always large, but they do try to provide an excellent bathroom and some electrical outlets. This is not a place for people who expect faceless modern conveniences. But if you like lovely casement windows and a warm atmosphere, definitely the tops.
