I just stayed here for two nights to catch up with friends. Hotel is in need of investment. The decor, fixtures, carpeting, and furniture all require attention. The staff is excellent, courteous, and helpful. The room, 114, was, I'm sure, once a lovely place, but the time has taken a toll on it. The bathroom has poor grouting and sealing, and the bedroom wall is too small to fill with a hole. Nothing terrible just needs a lot of tactic. There are no pillowcases, and the waste pipe would benefit from a glassbrushing. The bed and bedding were fine, everything worked, and the windows worked well at reducing noise from the road. The car park is not suited to a larger vehicle because there are some rather narrow areas. We have stayed here before and will return. The criticism balanced with the cost, and it's not too terrible. I'd bulk it up to pay more than a night.

First time back after pandemic and couldn't have been more pleased with the welcome and exceptional assistance from ellie. Ellie and Julie went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The rooms still need to be updated, but overall this premier inn is far superior to most in the city center and not being in the city center is a big reason why we always choose to stay here.

Due to construction work being done on our home that rendered it uninhabitable, myself and two relatives had to stay at this hotel for a little over three months. It was a truly wonderful place to stay. The accommodations were large, clean, and comfortable, and as you can imagine, having been at this location for such a long time, we spent a considerable amount of time in these rooms. I ended up bringing my own toilet paper if I were to be nitpicking, and the TV remote in one of our rooms didn't work. We needed a disabled access room, and it was again really large, comfortable, and easy to get to, compared to the premier inn, a little further up the road at junction 44 in Carlisle, which put their disabled access rooms at the farthest point away from any room of use. The personnel was friendly, accommodating, and cheerful, greeted us each morning with a smile. While doing late night shifts, one particular employee, tasha, was often very helpful, making sure not to knock doors slam and walking around the hallways, despite the fact that it was frequently full of fried eggs were sometimes not fully cooked, but that only occurred perhaps twice during our lengthy stay. The breakfast bar is usually wellstocked with a variety of options. It's also very good, better

Friendly reception staff. Rooms require a degree in electronic engineering. They don't seem to have ever heard of the kiss principle pertaining to controllers. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast staff were helpful and friendly, but the dining room definitely needs a facelift.
