Great hotel, great for dogs, food was amazing, I love a good steak, I send back lots of steaks as they are not cooked how I like them but this was spot on... bed was so good, and the breakfast was a great fry up.. could not fault it

The room was really nice and lovely. Staff were great. I would stay here again. The parking was a bit away from the hotel but i didn't mind that as it was nice to walk through the small town centre.

I have stayed here a few times and have always had a good stay. The staff are very friendly, and the food is very good and the rooms have everything you need. I was asked if I wanted to change my room when I arrived as the one I booked had a bath and another room was free with a shower, this was done without me asking, although I was not fussed but changed rooms anyway.

This was a fun place to stay while visiting the battle field. The village was very interesting with many small shops. The room appeared to be recently renovated and staying above a pub was a fun experience. The pub itself was also excellent. Our only complaint was lack of air conditioning...which resulted in us opening a window...and listening to traffic (the road out front is very busy) All-in-all, I would strongly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area

Such a beautiful pub with comfortable rooms. Staff were ever so welcoming and the room was spacious and clean. Was very surprised with my stay there even though it was just for one night. The breakfast was amazing too, cooked to order!

Beautiful room with luxurious appointments. These owners really know what they’re doing! One of my favorites in 40 years of travel to smaller towns & historic villages. Extremely happy and informed manager & staff. I’ll be back to stay for several days next year!
