Changed a bit since we were last here as the restaurant (which was OK) is now Turkish which is not really my style. Tried it, but found better places in Shefford. The hotel was very comfortable - especially the four poster bed (we were given the bridal suite!).

Different from the last time I stayed a couple of years ago. Then it was a busy friendly hotel where an excellent breakfast was served. This time as we are in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic and hotels have only just begun to reopen I found I was the only guest in the hotel with just one member of staff. Not surprisingly there was no food available at all. Despite all this I received a friendly welcome and the room was tidy and comfortable.

The rooms are very big but very old and tired. The beds were very comfortably and the linen was clean and fresh. We only needed to sleep there for the night so all of the above didnt really affect us.

strangle Hotel, a building site whilst its being worked on and a bit of a mess. That said when you finally get to the rooms they are pretty good for a budget Hotel and reasonably clean and comfy. The pub adjoining is more a Turkish restaurant and the food is fantastic. It would'nt take much to tidy this place up and turn it into a really good budget Hotel

Restaurant had really nice food, enjoyed my dinner a lot. Hotel, was ok, on arrival I had to phone a number to get checked in, no desk phone, expected people to use their mobile, not the worst thing, a little cheeky maybe. Room was big and had a nice bed, big bathroom, however the only shower was a mixer on the bath which worked great plenty of hot water, only I was on the second floor and roof line so couldn’t stand up for a shower (wasn’t so bad, was nice to have a bath, just not very efficient). If your not in a rush, it’s a nice place to stay.

Cheap and not so cheerful. Tired and needs a revamp, TV kept turning on by the person next door using their remote. !! The decor was tired and bed uncomfortable, plus had five or six attempts to get the door to lock.

The Hotel is 'rustic' and in need of a complete make-over. The beds are comfortable and the food okay. we found the room to be hot (October) even without any heating.

Its a budget hotel and fine for an overnight stop. All the staff I came across were friendly and professional. There is a pub/bar as part of the complex but this was all locked up at 10 o’clock on a Saturday night. All in all it was ok and fair value for the money.

Rooms are starting to look neglected and no hot water for the duration of our stay. The Turkish Restaurant attached to the hotel is very good though, if a little pricey.
