I had a very comfortable stay. The hotel is in a beautiful area and has a fascinating history. A member of staff kindly called me to advise if I wanted to pre-order dinner because I would have arrived after the kitchen closed. The meal was exquisite and a real treat. All team members encountered were very pleasant and customer-focused. Apart from minor wear and tear here and there the en-suite room was great. The full breakfast was hearty and substantial and cooked perfectly.

This was my 1st visit and I really enjoyed it. I dined here in the evening and for the breakfast, both of which were very nice indeed, lovely soup and burger for my evening meal and a cooked breakfast in the morning. If I’m nearby again I would stay here again.

This is a lovely hotel with a friendly welcome. If you've been walking then you'll really appreciate the deep hot bath. There a nice bar with food service downstairs and breakfast was great.

The property has a lot of history and fabulous outdoor area.. the new owners informed us they were putting in a fire pit under the gazebo that will allow customers to experience the outdoor area into the evenings. Fabulous view of the hills from our bedroom.

Lovely hotel and my target now for 3 years in 17 days of walking the Pennine way. It’s a small cosy bar with more restaurant at side and rear. After 16 miles of my last days walking a reals Hot bath was particularly inviting. Would I stay there again? Hell yes! See you in 3 years when I do “a lap of Honour”

The hotel is steeped in tradition and oozes character. Its the iconic finishing point of the Pennine way, a 268 mile walk from Edale in Derbyshire finishing at the border Hotel in Kirk Yetholm. The standard of the hotel is 1st class the staff warm and friendly and the food is delicious. Highly recommended

Been here several times and always given a warm welcome by friendly staff. Food is excellent too. Only downside for me is that the bed is far too soft for my taste, others may like this.

We have a very comfortable night's stay at The Border Hotel recently. My partner had just completed The Spine Race earlier that morning and the staff were very understanding that he would want to be in the room as soon as possible for a sleep and we were in the room before the 3pm check in time which was very kind of them. The room itself was clean and comfortable. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast at the hotel and all meals were absolutely delicious. This has been our 2nd stay at The Border and I would highly recommend

For us, the human touch is always more important than amenities, which were fine but quite basic. The management and staff, however, were warm and welcoming to a remarkable degree and made our brief stay a complete delight. Food was wholesome and just to our taste.
