Perfect place to stop over prior to ferry or Chunnel crossing. Not too far to walk into town although it’s uphill all the way back. Friendly staff and very welcoming.

Hotel was in the last few days of ownership before handover to new owners. Old owners were pleasant enough, but I felt we got the minimum acceptable service. We had stayed twice before, but it made no difference. Minimum acceptable service means Average Star Marking.

This small hotel is clean and friendly. The food is all freshly prepared and cooked for each order. It was very tasty and well presented. Owners and staff are friendly and welcoming. They also welcome, for a small charge, well behaved dogs which is great if you own a pet that you cannot leave at home with someone else. Our little dog loved the area and there was a nice walk close by.

The hotel is currently being run by a stand in family, previously from the hotel/pub industry. Extremely friendly and welcoming as well as pet friendly, I can recommend it to anyone. The hotel is ideally situated for Channel Tunnel visitors which is only a 10min drive away.

A lovely location, very pleasant and friendly staff. The rooms are not fancy but neither is the price. The bed and pillows were very comfy although ironed bedding and a valance sheet would have improved the look. Very good value for money.

Great welcome from all the staff, very organised with checking in and room details. Fab dinner and breakfast. The bedroom was lovely , bathroom needs updating but the owner explained that they were in process of doing this so no issues.
