I'll try this place again. For one evening, I planned to stay here for work, only to be disappointed. John was welcoming and accommodating when I arrived, and the bar looked lovely and inviting, so I decided to have dinner here too. I arrived at my apartment, and it once more seemed perfect for what I needed. Sadly, on closer examination, it appeared that perhaps the cleaning wasn't up to par. I discovered a number of hairs in the bath, sink, and bathroom floor, and I had to take a shower before taking the shower. The extract fan and shower curtain were both awful. Due to the fact that there were a few scuffs on the walls, the room would usually benefit from a fresh coat of paint, but that wasn't a big deal. I frequently heard the dryer because I was at the front of the building and above the pub loos. I didn't dare open my window, which is unfortunate because the road was incredibly noisy. To be honest, I had dinner in the bar, and the meal was delicious. I had a great time eating the pie, which was wonderful. However, there were only two employees on shift, and they simply appeared to be overworked because of their hectic schedule. I regret having to admit that customer service was lacking. We made a reservation for our stay to be close to my room. Although we had already eaten, we had enjoyed a beverage since the pub is lovely and offers a nice menu. The bed was really comfy, there was a hospitality tray, and the bathroom was a good size, again spotless, and furnished with lovely, soft, large towels. We had a wonderful night's sleep, and in the morning, a lovely breakfast featuring fruit cereal and full English with high quality ingredients was offered to us. This hotel offers excellent value for the money thanks to our gracious hosts.

We booked this hostel for our 15-minute trip to Stenstead airport. We really want to spend the night here. This little pub offers great rooms, they provide a great breakfast and a free parking area and internet space, but the food and room were nice as well. We would not hesitate to come back to this place again.
