We enjoy our relaxing evening at the crown last Friday night at a company of eleven. We went for a drink on the terrace, soaking up the last of the sun, and then walking back to eat dinner. There were plenty of choices on the menu, from pub favorites to more exquisite dining options. I particularly liked the cajun blackened swordfish, which was followed by a chocolate pot with honeycomb and salted caramel ice cream. The service was excellent from the moment of booking until the evening itself. Bravo, we are eager to return!.

We will definitely be back, and this summer's roast is absolutely delicious. I had the roast beef, which was perfectly cooked, and my wife, Joy, had the nut roast and was equally pleased. Thank you to Will and the rest of the team.

We would recommend this establishment to anyone looking for excellent customer service and cuisine. Last night, we had great service from Ruben and a great dinner. We sat in the restaurant with a fireplace that dates back to the 1600 s. Ruben has impeccable manners and a warm friendly smile which made us feel very welcome and that nothing was too much trouble. Our meals were excellent from start to finish. I had a goats cheese souffle to start, followed by the teabags special and dark chocolate pot to finish.

I cant recommend the crown enough. I went to the crown yesterday for a family lunch. We were a party of 10 in a room away from the main restaurant which was great because we also had 2 dogs with us! The food was amazing, everyone had very clean plates, a good sign. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful, especially with various food allergies. Definitely going back!

This is my first time going to this place for lunch as a family. Great location, building, and decor. The service was swift and friendly. During our three days of stay, we had good food with ample portions. I will definitely come back to this place. Many thanks.
