The whole place was charming and full of character. Check-in was fast and reception took us to our room personally. The room was beautifully decorated. The bathroom was modern and clean. A nice selection of teas and biscuits. This is not a negative but something to be aware of; since the building is older and refurbished, the stairs are a little narrow and lean so make sure you are comfortable with navigating not so perfect stairs if you choose to stay in the upper levels. Back to the positives: the garden area was lovely with plenty of chairs to sit and enjoy, there were EV stations available, a small pub and restaurant to relax and unwind (we didn’t try it out, but the smells coming from the kitchen were wonderful). Most importantly, right in the heart of the village so you can walk to everything.

Charming inn right at the heart of Bourton-on-the-Water. It was a short walk to the shops and pubs/restaurants of the town. Chose it because it had a room that would accommodate three ladies on our little tour of the Cotswolds. Our room had two separate bedrooms, one with a large bed and then another with two twin beds. Bathroom was updated and roomy with a full tub and shower. Would be perfect for a family also. The inn was built in 1698 and has historical charm, but was nicely renovated. Lovely restaurant which we didn't have a chance to try, and a sitting area where we had coffee. Everyone was lovely and kind. Would highly recommend.

The Dial house is great ! Very clean and comfortable with great staff and food. It’s located centrally to the little town. The model village and motor museum are very close too. We had a lovely one night stay.

A lovely well maintained hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly. When I arrived home I realised I had left my watch in the hotel room. I called the hotel and they posted it that day and it arrived at my home the next morning. Very impressed with the efficiency and honesty of the staff.

We didn’t eat at the hotel, so we cannot review that. But the convenience of the hotel was fantastic for our short stay. The parking on site was excellent, but do not forget to register. The staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed in one of the coach houses and it is in need of redecoration. A minor point in our fantastic stay.

Great friendly hotel right in the heart of the village in walking distance to everything of interest. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious with a welcome gift and free toiletries. Breakfast was tasty with a good selection to choose from. Really enjoyed our 2 night stay

We stayed in a family room at the Dial in late January 2026. We found the room plenty big enough for us (a couple + one adult). The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was particularity nice with a large soaking tub. The hostess was very nice and helpful. We reserved the breakfast rate, and the breakfast was excellent. We would stay again.
