We booked a family room for us and our 17 year old. We were expecting a standard double room size with a sofa bed crammed in but the room was huge! The bathroom was also huge with a roll top bath and separate shower. The rooms seemed to have been newly renovated. We didn't eat at the hotel but there is a lovely terrace outside which looked fab on a sunny evening. Hotel was quiet despite being part of a pub (although we did get back pretty late so probably missed the noise!) Super convenient for Gerrards Cross and the train station. Would definitely stay again.

Really good hotel/pub Very old building so you have to make allowances for that as they were restricted in what they could do to windows ect It was quiet in a great position and the staff were lovely We did eat in 1 night and had breakfast 1 morning during our stay and it was excellent value for money Because your nearly in the centre it’s easy to find different places to eat & drink Can’t really fault it

An extremely comfortable stay and staff very helpful. However, when I discovered I had left a couple of items in my room it was difficult to make contact with hotel to discuss. Only virtual assistant response on phone and email not answered.

Excellent place to stay. Food great at very reasonable cost. Close to the train station (getting into London and especially Wembley Stadium). Staff very helpful. Parking easy. Look forward to staying again.

We love staying at the Ethorpe although we've not since the refurb, but wow! The rooms are amazing, really comfy beds, decorated very tastefully with a gorgeous bathroom to boot! The whole refurb is brilliant. The breakfast was fantastic. Such a wonderful choice of breakfasts from pancakes to eggs benedict. A wide array of juices, pastries, all served by a very helpful and friendly waiter. I would highly recommend the Ethorpe Hotel!

We had a really lovely stay here and the experience was excellent from the moment we arrived. After driving for around four hours we were quite tired, but the welcome we received immediately lifted our spirits. The staff were fantastic, and the gentleman who I assume was the manager, a Scandinavian chap, was especially friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was extremely busy when we arrived, but he still managed to find us a table which we really appreciated after such a long journey. The room itself was fantastic. It was very spacious and comfortable, perfect for our family. The kids had their own separate room which worked really well, and the bathroom had both a separate shower and bath. There were also chocolates on the pillows which the kids absolutely loved. Dinner had a great home-cooked feel, exactly what you want from a good pub restaurant. Breakfast the next morning was equally good. We arrived a little early but the continental breakfast was ready with fresh fruit and juice, and the cooked breakfast menu had a great choice. Again, a really friendly chatty chap from Cornwall was waiting on us, just really made us feel at home and relaxed. Overall a fantastic stay with genuinely friendly staff, great food and a really comfortable room. We would happily stay again.
