All the staff were pleasant and helpful Well situated for the North Yorkshire moors, York and the Yorkshire coast Great food and beer(check out the happy hour) A larger than usual room even with an extra bed in Nice to stay in a place with down to earth staff

Stayed here at n a number of occasions always a good stay . Only thing I would like is a safety rail for when using the shower, think it should be made mandatory.

I thought the hotel was just out from York, but it was a fair ride by taxi. So worth it! Kirby Moorside is a charming little town with the nicest people in it. Fiona was the best from checking us in and helping with our bags to serving up drinks and general info.

Lovely village with Hotel being in a good central location with easy parking. Easy access to many places in North Yorkshire. Very pleasant staff with very good service and excellent food. A large, comfortable, clean room but looked very tired in décor. This did not deflect from very nice stay. Would certainly recommend it.

A very nice, spacious and clean room (building separate to the pub), our only complaint was that the heating wasn't on when we first arrived (this was soon rectified when we contacted downstairs but it did go off in the afternoons even though it was February). Very cosy when heating on, hotel on the quiet side this time of year (good !). Excellent freshly cooked breakfast with a good choice. Food in the evening was also of a high standard, fresh products and a couple of more unusual dishes offered on the menu. Restaurant quiet this time of year and there's more atmosphere if you eat in the bar area. Thursday steak night really good value. Staff really pleasant and chatty throughout - no real complaints. Very enjoyable break - would book again.
