Good value, friendly staff, good location for rail station into central Birmingham and easy to get to from the M42. Its not what you would normally expect of a hotel however it was very clean and very convinient. We had a family room (double bed and single bed) and was surprised the find that the additinal bed actually was a bed rather than a sofa bed. Beakfast can be arranged at £5.50 per person and tea / coffee is not provided in the rooms (Covid restriction) but a tray can be arranged for £5 for the length of your stay. The wi-fi is free and we got quite a good signal. The front of the building is a social club although the rooms are far enough away for this not to be a problem. This place would be idea for people working in the area and for people wanting a base in the Black Country to go exploring. Would we book again? certaintly.

An excellent stay. The room was small but perfectly adequate for 1 night, everything looked new and it was very clean. The free parking and being right opposite the train station are big bonuses. The only improvements I could suggest would be to include tea & coffee making facilities (we took our own) and to get some pillow protectors although, in fairness, the pillows did look new. We will definitely be back.

From the time we arrived, we found all staff extremely welcoming. The Room was ideal and lovely and clean. The price was very reasonable, it caters for weddings/ parties / there is also a sports bar with entertainment in when we arrived. Breakfast was lovely. The staff work extremely hard to please the visitors and nothing is too much, will definitely be going back.

A good, clean budget hotel that provided a comfortable couple of night’s accommodation that is very conveniently located opposite the station. There is no restaurant but we ate well locally about a 5 minutes walk away. Would benefit from some hooks in the bathroom.

I had a one night stay as a staging post on a business trip. Very friendly team. Do not expect luxury. Youll get a very clean room with an adequately comfortable bed. The place is a busy pub. They have bands on and functions. It suited my purposes as a place to kip after a couple of well priced beers in the bar while watching the rugby. All at a budget friendly price too.

Felt it was very welcoming and clean. Large outdoor parking with plenty of space. Not very clean looking from the outside so bad first impressions and a lot of noise from the car park (ie music/shouting) after midnight but can’t be helped sometimes so not too bad.

It was good, clean rooms but checking 10 oclock chicking out time was too early, we checked in late went out for a function came back early morning not enough time to rest, we expected them to allow us late checkout free of charge but was not possible.
