The first impression we received was that it was spotless, which was pleasant, but there were a few things that caught us off guard such as a broken mattress. The staff was welcoming and welcoming in general. We had pre-reserved a double room with two beds when we arrived, but when we arrived, we were informed that we hadn't, as they had divided the beds. We also had to rebook a brunch gluten-free selections menu. When we arrived, I double-checked that the bread was gluten-free and was reassured that because he had put gluten-free, there would be gluten-free bread available for me. We arrived downstairs in the morning only to be told by kitchen staff that they had no gluten-free bread because none had told them in advance of the morning. Also, they were not offered to cook us a separate toaster or gluten-free toast because some people are susceptible to cross-contaminating and this could cause some illness. On Saturday morning, we noticed water flying around the bathroom floor and when we examined, we noticed that condensation was running down both the bedroom window and more cereals and other items. The management and staff may need to conduct training to get better understanding and remember to check the ingredients. I have remained at the grosvenor numerous times over the years, either on my own or with my wife. We recently returned from a nightclub stay, and for the first time, we remained in room number 4, which was at the back of the hotel. All of my previous rooms were in the front, which was perfect. Being at the back of the hotel is a plus that you do not hear any traffic noise or the beep beep of the pedestrian crossing, especially if youre leaving the windows open for ventilation. Along with a large bottle of water, as usual, tea and coffee makers were available. The addition of extra milk for my coffee was not an issue, and we were even given extra tea bags, coffee, and sugar. The bed, which included comfy pillows, was quite comfortable for me. A fan, fridge, flat screen, and a hairdryer were also included in the room. The bathroomshower room was adequate, with clean, fresh towels and amenities. My only small complaint was that the shower pressure was rather low. Our room was very tidy. The hotel is also a short walk from the town center, seafront, and pier with all of it's shoreline. My one and only complaint about the hotel, which I forgot to mention prior, was that there was a lot of rubbish accumulated in the car park at the end of the lobby, where the table

Nice warm welcome but check-in is late. Room is small, but it's the weekend. Shower was excellent and the bed was very comfortable. Women's rooms should have full-length mirrors. Breakfast was in a good location but could have been hotter but the sausages were of poor quality. Overall a good stay, but I'd like to see how this hotel compares to others.
