The location makes up for some a few less important concerns. I was satisfied with my threenight stay here all around. The staff was nice and accommodating. On arrival, the refrigerator in our room was inoperable, and I informed the reception. The following evening, I returned. A new refrigerator. More can be offered. We had a wonderful night's sleep despite the heat and noise of edinburgh in July, and we will definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.

Overall, we had a nice four-night stay, which met our expectations. Our room was charming and of a good and cozy size. Nice bathroom, but with an outrageously low water pressure in the shower. The water pressure thing is something we're used to when visiting the UK. The hotel is built on a hill. If you walk from the wrong direction, that means an uphill climb. It was easier to walk towards Waterloo Eels. And to go from there.

We remained for two nights owing to unforeseeable circumstances. We had a terrific time, and the staff was helpful. The bedroom was tidy and equipped for our needs, however the furniture required updating. We were able to open the window on a warm night because the bed was very cozy. In addition, there was an incredible, hot water shower over the bath. On request, I was also given a small pitcher of fresh milk as well as the classic Scottish toiletries. The upstairs seating area was roomy and had been renovated with classic Scottish furnishings. Although tucked away on carton hill, it is easily accessible via Waterloo Place and the tram to it's andrews Square is nearby. The proximity to carton hill, the ancient burial site, and the stunning views of the city were the highlights for me. For visitors, it's a must-do walk. We chose to eat at nearby coffee saints, which address local needs instead since it was a little pricey. Overall, a pleasant visit.

We had only one night here but wish there were more. Small stylish hotel with very helpful staff. The room was great with everything we needed. Beautiful breakfast room. Hotel very near to train station but does not feel like that. close to fantastic pubs and restaurants.

After spending a week here, we enjoyed this hotel. It's in a great location, close to the royal mile and both the old and the new towns. Although remarkably tranquil, it is in the heart of the city. The only sounds we could hear were seagulls in the morning while we were having the windows open. The furniture's plaid fabrics and the photos from the local websites are lovely in the space, which served as artwork. The room's staff is efficient and courteous, and the breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of menu choices. I particularly liked the small jam jars for my toast. When we visit fringe and tattoos, we'll most likely return to this hotel.
