The property is centrally located to all of the fabulous shopping and dinning Cheltenham has to offer. The staff were fabulous and a special shout out to Mathew who went above and beyond to make our stay great.

What lovely little guesthouse! The lady who saw us when we arrived and at breakfast couldn't have been more welcoming. The accommodation was warm and incredibly comfortable. We had a twin room, which can sometimes be a bit tight, but this room was spacious and beautifully furnished. Would definitely stay here again if we came back to Cheltenham.

Very comfortable room, could do with a fan in the room on hot days ( room 6 was very warm when sun was facing the window) staff were lovely and helpful. Will return if visiting Cheltenham again. Thanks again to all the staff for a lovely stay

It was fantastic. The team at the guesthouse were friendly and accommodating to our requests. The room was comfy too and the eco- friendliness was something that we both appreciated. The breakfast was amazing and the location of the guesthouse was spot on- very close to the town centre as well as very close to the racetrack. Will definitely be back/ thanks to all.

Had a great stay here. The room and bed were spotless and very comfortable. The lady who booked us in was very friendly and sorted out our permit parking very close to the hotel. Great location for the town centre bars and restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

From beginning to end this lovely guesthouse and its staff were just perfect! Super friendly and helpful, providing beautifully clean and attractive accommodation in a central location. Parking was available on road for an extra £5 fee and organised by the Guesthouse...and breakfast was delicious...Will definitely return!

Wonderful stay at Portland Guesthouse. Beautiful room and building with very attentive, friendly staff who couldn't do more to help and make you feel welcome :) bed was super comfy, room immaculately clean and we even had complimentary delicious homemade brownies in the room! Breakfast was amazing. Thanks for a brilliant stay, we would love to come back!

I would suggest it. The Portland guesthouse is located in a prime location in Chelsea. Historic Chelsea is within easy walking distance of the Portland Guesthouse. Parking can be scheduled, and we were given a space within a few minutes. A feeforexempt openair parking lot is also across the street. The room we had was tiny and off the ground, but as we only stayed there for the night, it wasnt a big deal. The room was spotless and nicely outfitted. The hourly staff at reception was helpful as we arrived late. Both the limited service we required and the breakfast were excellent. Overall, there are no negatives and excellent value. The portland guesthouse is unique because it is run by a trust and trains homeless young people to pursue careers in hospitality. Theyve performed exceptionally with the young person who served us, and we were satisfied we remained there.

We highly recommend this portland guesthouse and hope to visit again soon. We had a wonderful stay at this lovely guesthouse, which is five minutes' walk from the town and the stunning Pittville Park area. As before, we were welcomed warmly and welcomed and directed to our rooms, each tastefully decorated, furnished, and spotlessly clean. The beds are cozy, the assured shower rooms are tiny but very clean, and the breakfast is of excellent quality. There are thoughtful touches throughout, including delectable brownies in the rooms, fresh milk for teas and coffee, no plastic cups of uh milk here! The staff is efficient, friendly, and helpful, and they work hard to make sure your stay is perfect.

We recently returned after est time here and had one of the best breakfasts ever. It was so pleasing, loved the ethical reasons behind the hotel, and loved the atmosphere. I clean the room overall and slept well. As usual, the personnel were fantastic, and the room was lovely. I'm not sure if I'm on a holiday weekend, but last time I gave a 5 because 1. There is only one small detail, but no coffee or brownies in the room, as other reviewers have noted, and even more important, the bulb in one of the bed lamp wasn't working. I posted a message on the provided number to inquire if a new item would be resolved that evening, but it wasn't finished. Given the wonderful effort that was made otherwise, I'm really surprised. Breakfast was a little spread out. The lovely server, but she didn't always comprehend basic beverage orders due to a language barrier. I had to wait 20 minutes to remind her. Luckily, she had the last little slice of the fantastic fruit salad. When two couples after us came in, they saw a counter with no fruit salad, only a little milk and no juice. It seems as though the server didn't pay much attention to these things. When finally available, the cooked breakfast was enjoyable but not better than last year. We observed other individuals also getting a bit dirty. I don'

I chose Portland for my overnight stay in Cheltenham. Stayed in a cozy room with two single beds for one married man. Especially considering the porridge on the breakfast menu, I could have chosen the Goldilocks option but I chose one and stuck to it. The room was clean and cosy with all the amenities including hot drinks. The breakfast food menu was great, with lots of choices. Breakfast sandwich, bacon and egg on sourdough toast, perfect cooked. Please be kind to Sam Lucy and his colleagues.

We recently got back from a wonderful four-night stay at this lovely guesthouse. Everything started with Maria greeting us before we arrived. We were in room 5, which had plenty of storage space, a lovely ensure, and period furnishings to add to the space. Our breakfast was served in a lovely downstairs room, complete with antique fireplaces and furniture. We were quite ready for the day after the breakfast. We were there for the horse racing, and the guesthouse is ideally located just 20 minutes' walk from the course or a short stroll into town to catch the shuttle bus. There are numerous bars and restaurants nearby, and cabs are readily accessible if you need to get further. While there, maria, jodie, helena, and hannah took care of us and went above and beyond to assist us with any of our needs. Once more, thank you to everyone and look forward to seeing you again next year.
