I stayed in this hotel about 15 years ago and loved it. I returned in 2018 and was quite disappointed because it was quite run down. Hotel has had mixed reviews recently but I wanted a night in Scarborough and was able to book a room for a reasonable price. I was so happy I decided to go back there because we had a nice room with a fantastic view. Hotel has a great location, being in the heart of the town and on the cliff face. It was obviously a great hotel when it was built, but much of its grandeur remains and has been renovated. If you want ambiance this is the place for you. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. most of the staff were friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

This motel is fantastic. It made me realise how stunning it must have been before travelling abroad became more popular in Scarborough. Ive never seen a door like it before, and I'm grateful that it's still here to be used. I had reserved a room with a sea view, but had been upgraded to a suite. After reading evaluations, I was hoping this might occur, and it did. I checked in about 30 minutes before the rp and was greeted by a gentleman at the front desk. Everything you require, including a fridge, a safe, etc., was provided in the suite, which was excellent. The separate living area is roomy with a huge window facing the sea, and the bed is extremely comfy. I really don't have anything bad to say about my experience. Despite this, breakfast was of very poor quality because, honestly, I felt a little sick, and I had the impression that this would probably be the same here. The same applies to the dinners at the grand, which aren't good. We only eat out in other places, so that's no problem for us. I'm so grateful for the room, and I'm eager to return!.

When visiting Scarborough with family, I would highly recommend this hotel. What a lovely hotel. The entrance is amazing! Great location, huge room, and modern bathroom. I really enjoyed the Sunday roast for dinner. We didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on that, but there are lots of lovely cafes nearby.
