We absolutely loved our stay at the Royal Lion. Perfect location, lovely room and great service. Breakfast was a nice experience with plenty of choice. Sharon on reception was really helpful and made check-in and out an easy, seamless experience.

Amazing helpful staff, good breakfasts, comfy beds and charming old pub. The icing on the cake is the location- just 2 minutes walk to the beach and other restaurants- plus free parking, which is a rarity in Lyme Regis.

We are so pleased we booked the Royal Lion! The location is excellent and you're right in the heart of Lyme Regis. The room we booked (deluxe double room with terrace) was excellent. Clean, welcoming and comfortable. There were extra touches like the selection of teas and coffees as well as biscuits and some cans of water. There was parking at the hotel too. Even though it is a fairly small car park, we always found a space. We ate at the restaurant every evening while we were there. An excellent selection of choices. Full marks! Breakfast was something to look forward to as well. A buffet breakfast as well as a large menu for a cooked breakfast. This was all included in the reasonable fixed breakfast price. All the staff from the minute we checked in were great. Sharon greeted us at reception and advised us about the restaurant and breakfast, as well as the parking. Sending a thank you to the friendly helpful staff in the restaurant and at breakfast, Tom and Abbie! Apologise for forgetting the other names of the staff we met. This is an excellent hotel and we would definitely recommend a stay here

Very convenient parking for the town. Very clean and modern bedroom. The communal areas a little dated and tired but a very comfortable stay and super helpful and friendly staff.

The pub itself is a lovely spot to unwind with a drink or two. The food was also good. The room was comfortable but did feature a very small shower. I would not recommend larger people to stay here. Otherwise it was perfect for our stop over in Lyme Regis.

Our family room was perfect for us - my daughter loved the bunk beds and having the outdoor area was lovely and so handy for our dog. The breakfast was lovely, the staff were very friendly and we could even charge our electric car. The location was perfect too. There was nothing I would change about our stay!

Hotel looks a bit well worn when you walk up, but inside it is nicely furnished. Our 3-bed room (25) was newly refurbished, very comfortable, quiet (but no view). Breakfast fine. Parking on site is a bit tight but it works fine. Hotel is in a great location, hotel staff excellent, very friendly. Maybe need some new carpets sometime but in the big picture, a really good stay in Lyme Regis.
