This is a gem of a stay. A beautiful historical house that has been decorated to the highest of standards, immaculately clean, a warm greeting from our hosts Jenny and Mark, who missed nothing for our information. Our spacious en suite room was also decorated to a high standard in keeping with the rest of the house with a large comfortable bed which aforded us a good night's sleep. The breakfast menu tells its own story of fresh locally produced and sourced food on offer, freshly cooked and served by very attentive staff on an impressive table dressed by fine china and starch ironed linnen tablecloth in the dining room with Welsh dressers filled by family heirlooms of fine bone china. The breakfast choice was varied and plentiful. We settled for a light breakfast of orange juice, with scrambled eggs cooked to perfection with toasted wholemeal bread served with a pot of Scottish blended morning tea. The house is situated at the very start of the historical fishing town of Anstruther with views over the Firth of Forth it offers a pleasent walk into town, or the further afield Celardyke on the coastal path. With it's award winning beach and award winning fish and chip resturant Anstruther is supported by a good selection of bars and resturants craft shops a museum, or a sail to the isle of May from the marina. There is no doubt that we will be back.

Our stay at the Spindrift Guest House was our favorite across our Scottish travels! Mark and Jennie’s hospitality was amazing and the accommodations were perfect. We took their suggestions for traveling by train into Edinburgh, where to eat in downtown Anstruther, and driving into St Andrew’s. This location was a quick 15-minute drive to the Old Course, which was very convenient since we were going daily to enter the singles draw. The breakfast was lovely, and my husband said the coffee was some of the best he’s had. I highly recommend staying at the Spindrift! 10/10

We were greeted by extremely friendly, helpful hosts who showed us around and made us feel very welcome. Our room was bright, pristine and beautifully presented. The honesty bar was lovely to come back to after our meal out. The room is grand and lots of interesting items to look at. Our night stay was very comfortable and peaceful. The breakfast was one of the best cooked breakfasts we have ever had. If your thinking about booking a stay, don't think about it BOOK IT!!!!! You definitely will not be disappointed. This is the gold standard for B&Bs. Mark and Jeni are wonderful hosts and the house is nicely decorated and furnished. The breakfast was delicious, and we had so many choices! We would recommend this B&B to anyone staying near St. Andrews. There are stairs to the rooms, as is the case in most B&Bs and hotels in Scotland, so since we had a car, we pack a small weekend bag, so we don't have to carry heavy suitcases up and down. Thank you Mark and Jeni for a wonderful stay!

The spindrift guest house is excellent you get met at the door by the hosts Mark and Jeni, who make you feel so welcome like your part of the family. They show you around the breakfast room and the lounge . The rooms are big and comfy thw whole place is spotless. Breakfast is amazing and you pick what you want from a changing menu daily which is finished off with homade loaf from Jeni we had banana loaf this morning which was still warm. Nothing is to much trouble for the hosts i would recommend a visit here and we will be back next year.

Jen and her husband are so lovely . You can walk in minutes to a gorgeous beach full of seashells . Breakfast was bespoke and amazing . Full cash bar in the cozy sitting room came in handy :) we are most definitely going back next year
