Nervous to visit after reading reviews. However, there is a lot of refurbishment going on. The downstairs looks fabulous and the car park/outside space is being worked on. The room was ropey, window held open with a block of wood and a pane of glass missing. Curtains not hanging correctly and a socket out. But, we arrived when they were busy and so checking in was delayed. The staff apologised for wait, and the room! The breakfast was absolutely banging and the staff were exceptional. Helpful with questions and went out of their way, which more than made up for the room.

Propery is a Green King pub with some rooms above. The pub, and the food in the pub are fine. The rooms could be a set for a 1950s film. There is a notice which says the rooms are shortly to be completely refurbished. However the price is very good value considering free parking, and a free english breakfast.

The staff were welcoming and lovely.The breakfast was lovely,we stayed just one night. There were tea and coffees. the room wasnt like any in the photos online,i didnt like the room, only one bedside cabinet,no wardrobes,no shower gel or shampoo to use.
