We had a lovely weekend stay here with our dog. The staff were very welcoming, the hotel lovely and clean with a bit of character. We ate in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner and enjoyed the food and good service.

Situated in Moretonhampstead (not Newton Abbot) The White Hart is ideally located to enjoy stunning north Dartmoor and the wider rural Devon. The hotel is superbly furnished and decorated. Friendly and helpful staff add to the pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. Very dog friendly (so important for us)

A great family long weekend. two teenagers with a twin and us with a double. Lovely spot, excellent food and nice rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff, plus a public bar and pool room. Friendly locals in the public bar and playing pool. Had a great time.

The atmosphere was so relaxed and the public areas so warm and comfortable with very welcoming staff. Oh that real log fire! Miriam even carried my case up the 2 floors when we arrived. It's good you can get there by bus.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff are friendly and really helpful. We had a very nice evening meal and the breakfast was delicious. Rooms are comfortable. Nice to see that dogs were welcome too. Would definitely recommend if you are exploring Dartmoor.

This was a last minute break with our children and from the hotel were really accommodating and put us in rooms close to eachother. The girl on reception was so welcoming and helpful. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We had booked dinner before we arrived and I’m so glad we did, I think it was one of the bests roasts we have ever had and the portions were very generous. Every member of the team were lovely and the bar/general manager was especially great to my sons and got them some board games. Breakfast was really good too. It was a really enjoyable stay and we will definitely return next time we visit Dartmoor.

Welcoming, good food, and great service. Good location for the trip we were doing, heading to Devon/Cornwall. Quirky traditional place to stay. The room we were allocated had a very sloped floor and the bed was uncomfortable because it was positioned so one person rolled into the other. Alright if you're on your own :)
