Great little pub with friendly staff and safe parking for a motorcycle I missed out on food due to the time but they are more than happy to eat a takeaway in the bar area Definitely use this place again

Very helpful and attentive staff. Super clean room and comfortable bed. Best nights sleep for ages. Only negative was poor WiFi signal in some parts of the building and bedroom.

Area and hotel is so nice and relaxing. We sat in the beautiful garden enjoying the sunshine when we arrived. Staff are so friendly, helpful and professional throughout our stay. Only down side is the room was clean but a bit shabby especially the carpet which could do with replacing. The food in the restaurant is EXCELLENT and I highly recommend it, the prices were around £15 for a main which is well worth it for the quality and amount of food. We will definitely stay here again - thank you so much to all the staff you are amazing!

Beautiful old building. Food and drink was top notch. Room was spacious and the bathroom though quite small, was well appointed. No issues with external noise despite being so close to the A303 dual carriageway. The surrounding area is beautiful.

We had a very good stay. Ideal position for our purpose (visit to a nearby racehorse trainer). New owners very welcoming and helpful. Enjoyed food. Our room overlooked the garden and part car park; very quiet although slight fan noise. Enjoyed our short visit and would go again.

My wife and I stayed here for one night en-route from Cornwall to Kent. The Hotel/Pub is situated just off the A303 (literally one minute off A303) with lots of parking available. On arrival, our room wasn't ready as a plumber was just finishing a repair but we were offered a free drink while we waited which was very nice. Our room was very comfortable with all the facilities one would expect and the wi-fi was good.. We didn't actually use the restaurant but the bar offered a wide variety of beers/ales and we spent an enjoyable evening chatting to some of the locals. The "olde world" charm of the hotel coupled with the friendliness of the proprietor and staff made for a really excellent overnight stay. Breakfast the following morning was really good and to be honest we were sorry to leave!

Das Hotel hat uns von Anfang an super gefallen. Es ist ein schnuckliges altes Gebäude mit sehr viel Charme. Super nettes Team und tolles Frühstück runden den positiven Eindruck ab. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!!! The hotel from the beginning has been great. It is a nice old building with a lot of charm. Super nice team and great breakfast round off the positive impression. We felt very comfortable!!!

Excellent overnight stopover, well positioned near A303. In fact The White Horse is right beside the road but the old thatched inn has such thick walls and such thick thatch that we didn't hear any noise. Very friendly, smiling staff who make you feel welcome and valued among all the local customers who obviously enjoy the atmosphere as they turned out for a good dinner in spite of a day of heavy rain. Good breakfast, too, in an old-fashioned way of table service.

Rooms were small with no air conditioning, but the atmosphere of the place and the staff more than made for it. Had a wonderful time talking with staff and locals. I would most definitely stay there again.

Really nice place with a great atmosphere, good food, bags of parking, easy access to rooms, very large garden, great selection of beers, nice locals, great staff. Lots to do in the area. Only bad point is that some idiot council builder allowed the road to pass quite close to the back, but, once inside you cannot hear it and it does not disturb your sleep.
