Perfect hosts with a lovely, warm home and beautiful back garden, that's in full bloom. Our room had beautiful views with a very comfortably sized bathroom and the breakfasts were delicious and quite filling. Thank you for such a wonderful and pleasant stay, Janet and Steve!

Janet and Steve are great hosts, extremely helpful throughout our stay. This is a lovely place very well located for exploring the local area and for the short walk down to Robin Hoods Bay. The room was large and very comfortable/ welcoming. Breakfasts are very nice indeed.

Our en suite room was immaculate throughout, with a beautifully completed colour scheme, and a huge, totally comfortable, bed. The property as a whose is well decorated and has an overall relaxing feeling to it. The owner is very friendly and very experienced to the needs of the traveller. Externally, the garden to the rear was beautifully done.

Can't say enough about this place. Breakfast was classic English breakfast and with only 2 rooms it is an intimate affair. The house is beautiful and bed super comfy, proximity to robin hoods bay and Cleveland way and other walks means you can park you car and not have to drive anywhere local. You do have to park on the road but this is not an issue and is super easy, even at night and for a non right hand drive driver. It's location means it's much quieter than in town and the village has a shop and a pub away from the crowds. One more note that Google maps and sat Nav take you about 10 houses further west than the actual house. It can be tricky to find at night. It's on South side of road near the Sled Gate, Thorpe Greenbank and Thorpe bank intersection.

We found this B&B quite difficult to find as Experian list the property as being in Whitby, when in fact it is in the village of Fylingthorpe, close to Robin Hood's Bay , 5 1/2 miles from Whitby. We were also hampered by the fact that mobile phone signals were unreliable (i.e. our mobiles did not work) None of this is any fault of Janet and Steve , the proprietors, and when we did eventually find it, our welcome was excellent.

We booked this place because we had checked out of our previous accommodation early as it was filthy. Our room had a speaking size bed, safety, and a hot drink station. Breakfast was tasty and fresh ingredients were used. Overall we had a great night out.

We highly recommend this place to stay. It is a wonderful place to stay in Thorpe Green House. It is tidy, comfortable, and has a lovely garden. The owner, Janet, is so nice and kind. We had a great five nights there. dietary requirements wheat intolerance etc. We were provided with complete care. We have nothing but positive things to say about our visit. There is a bus stop a few yards away to routes to Whitby, Scarborough, Robin Hood's Bay, and Middlesbrough. Robin Hood's Bay is only one in the morning, but I must warn you that there are hills. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we definitely want to stay at Thorpe Green House again in the future.

I would undoubtedly stay here again! My partner and I have an excellent experience while staying at Thorpe Green House. The room was clean, inviting, and pleasant, and the host, Jane, was really kind and accommodating. Every morning, we had a full vegetarian breakfast, which was delicious and included excellent homemade bread. Beautiful garden beyond the conservatory.

Recently, we spent a night at Thorpe Green House, and we wholeheartedly endorse it. An amiable greeting from Janet. The property is as lovely as the images on this website make you believe. The room was clean and cozy. Very tasty breakfast. Even though there is no evening meal available, there is a nearby village bar where I would have liked a standard barrel, but I found the food to be much superior to what I had anticipated and at a very reasonable price. Anyone interested in gardening will appreciate the care, decor, and variety of plants at the Janet garden.

Excellent three-day vacation. Friendly hosts and a cozy room. The perfect position is close to Robin Hood's Bay yet conveniently located in Frederstowe. Although we are not vegetarians, we enjoyed the veggie sausage, fried egg, mushrooms, tomato, fried potato, and baked beans for breakfast and the homemade sour dough bread.
