Absolutely lovely little spa hotel, staff are friendly and attentive and the brought-to-room breakfast is lovely, room was clean, warm and modern with great tea and coffee facilities, nearby to lots of cute attractions and easy to access, you can even book treatments last minute at the spa, would certainly book again especially for the fair room and treatment pricing

We only stayed for one night for a wedding but was greeted by a lovely lady who took me to our room. Grounds were being cut at the time and maintained lovely. Had to leave early the next morning so missed out on breakfast and didn’t get much time here but sept lovely. Very peaceful right by the big pond. Will come back again for a proper break and a book !

It's a great retreat. The environment is quiet and chill,, rooms with good view on a grassland with cows & hares getting around. The only thing is the privacy,, since the glass of the window is not shaded and the people passed by could easily see through into your room when you are looking at the beautiful view.

The staff is very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. Lovely atmosphere with very comfortable furnishings and lovely grounds. The steam room has a bad smell. Unfortunately, a group of five people didn't pay attention and were very loud. This is not the spa's fault but it would be nice if the use of mobile phones was enforced as they were unfortunately really intrusive. We had a wonderful day and each of us had a wonderful massage. We have been and will return. Lynn and Holly.

Snub your enemies spa hotels and forest hut breaks where the sun is not shining and stress your backside to the spa retreat! Come because the therapists know their onion and stay because you know that when professional treatments are such good the finer points of the place are irrelevant. Yes a few touches of paint here and there and a bit of updating may be required, but the place is clean, warm, and friendly. Brekkie is delivered hot in a basket, comfortable rooms with tea and coffee in exceptionally quiet surroundings and no to in the room! Bliss! Short drive to beautiful beaches and river tour. In fact do not come at all, I want to keep this little paradise to myself.

This place is in a beautiful setting. I have visited it several times and have always felt that warm and uneasy immediately. This place is the best, I have never seen before. This place has calm surroundings and not many people. The best massage I've ever had. A little slice of heaven.

We had a full body massage followed by a facial later in the day, and the treatments were excellent. If you purchase a spa package, you have access to the facilities all day and a very comfortable lunch. Due to covid, the sauna and steam room were unavailable, but the pool was open and warm. Highly recommended for a place to unwind and relax.

The room was so lovely and the pool was so hot like a bath. There were massages, and facials, and some of us had treatments. The massage was thorough and completely relaxing from head to toe. The facial treatment gave the girls a lovely glow.

A beautiful and peaceful place. There should be a mini bar for food and drinks at the retreat. The pub next door was fully booked for food for the day and there are no near by shops. We didn't have a car to drive somewhere else either.

Checkin is between 2-5pm, we arrived after 4pm so we could enjoy our day as we were only staying one night. Arrived at the room and was very disappointed the view was of a field not lake. We also had to leave the room immediately and go to the local pub to stay warm, as no heating was put on for us in November, it felt like walking into a fridge upon arrival, considering we needed to check out by 10am, you’d think the room be semi warm so it’s at-least tolerable. We put the heating up, went to the pub and when we returned the room was too hot, we struggled all night to regulate the temperature so I slept terribly. There was not contact details to call reception and the desk is manned minimal hours so you couldn’t ask for assistance when we needed it. Overall the place was very clean, relatively peaceful despite this humming noise that lasted awhile after the flushing of the toilet I believe? Thought there could be a fridge in the room it was loud at times, but there wasn’t. I’d also recommend bringing entertainment as there is none in the room. Breakfast is a ‘light breakfast’, you are provided an orange juice, crossaint, mason jar of granola and a carton of soya milk. I actually paid slightly more for this room than other places, I thought it would be special to spend my Birthday night here, however on this occasion I should have stuck with the travel lodge. Only other positive was the shower pressure was good, and the temperature good.

Situated very remote but quite and green environment. No tv in the room, every day same breakfast existing out a pre-packed croissant, mango juice, some home made granola and some oat milk. Coffee is available in the room but does not get refilled once used. We stayed 2weeks, during that time the bed linen has not been changed and room is only cleaned once together with towels. Good for short stays…

Lovely location, lovely room with the exception of a little bit of tiredness around the door area but overall a delightful room. The bed was a little too soft for me but that's just preference. I did miss not having a TV in the room but this is sold as a 'Retreat'. We were disappointed at the breakfast arrangement, which is a choice of vegetarian food that you have to choose the previous day and is delivered in a basket to your door. Ours was delivered by the next-door guests as it was taken to the wrong guests and whilst tasty it was far from ideal eating tepid food. There is a lovely pub/restaurant within walking distance.

Booked purely to be near Canterbury and whitstable, so not to use spa, but we thought would be an added bonus to use once weary after a day out. We had to cut short our day at whitstable as check in only between 2-5pm..and we got a phone call at 4.30 to say we are closing in half hour, are you on your way! Annoyingly, we were! Once checked in, the surroundings are beautiful, pond and setting..great.i asked where the spa was, it was closed! Re opens next day, but as she was full to capacity, unlikely we would get in! ! It looked very nice from outside though!! Room was clean, nicely decorated, but guttering was broken outside bedroom window, so when it rained all night, made an awfully irritating noise..so not much sleep was had, left not feeling very relaxed the next day! ..I can see that this place is ideal if prebooked for a spa day / night well in advance, sure the spa is lovely, but check times beforehand, and personally don't think that it should be used just for general accommodation, as overpriced....

We attended TOR rooms for a nice getaway before my wife gives birth, we had been approximately 3 years ago and had a great time. Unfortunately with the new owners it has gone completely downhill. Upon entering the room there were around 8-9 large spiders. Ordinarily, a couple of spiders I would chuck out of the window. This time however it was almost like an infestation. I had to kill about 6 and flush them before my wife would even settle. We could not get through to the staff on the phone so my wife knocked on the door. A staff member came and even admitted he comes here as a "spider killer". At first, he queried where the spiders were when my wife explained I had killed them. My wife had to show the photos for him to acknowledge that they even existed. He said because its near a field its quite normal. Let me be clear, I grew up in the country and this is not normal, its a failure of basic hygience. He was quite dimissive until my wife said we would simply go to a travelodge. We did end up staying the night, and then to top it off, the breakfast basket is two heated supermarket crossoints, some granola and milk and orange juice, a significant decrease in quality. We were going to go enjoy the spa in the morning when we were then told it was £30 for an hour and £50 for 3 hours of £80 for a whole day. (just to access the spa, not the treatment) The prices were not this outrageous a few years ago, so we didn't; bother going in. Totally dissapointed and would not recommend.
