Great staff who were really helpful and service minded. The room was great and the food lovely! Would have loved if there had been a tour where you could hear more about the castle and its history. The water for showering was not that warm in the evening but in the morning there was a lot of hot water available!

The staff were absolutely helpful & lovely upon arrival & during our short stay. Honestly we’re both really surprised by how much we enjoyed our evening. When we walked in to reception, my first impression was a little of faulty-towers! BUT Our room was lovely, the staff professional. The food in the restaurant was fabulous & very undersold by slightly dated looking menus. Once it arrived to the table, the presentation & taste of the food was 10/10. Well done chef & polite restaurant staff! Loved it & thank Q

Our room was excellent! Clean and spotless and comfortable. Our meals and portions were very good! The staff were friendly and very accommodating. Even though it was very late in the evening, the front desk person managed to have our laundry done and outside our door in the morning! Would definitely stay there again!

Loved the setting and the history. Four poster bed . Must do stay (in a castle in Scotland that dates to 1166).. no elevator. Great spacious room with lots of atmosphere. Lovely restaurant and bar. Would come back.

I cannot rave enough about my stay at the Castle! The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food, both dinner and breakfast were superb ( the sea bass at dinner was delicious and the black pudding was to die for!) The room was immaculate and beautiful (we stayed in the Oak Suite). If you can stay there for sure!

This is such a fun little place to stay. The size of the room and onsite bathroom was perfect for us. Very roomy - a nice change from the standard hotel room. Lots of seating and a large soaker tub. The place was easy to find and had great pub food. The staff were so friendly and helpful. There was lots of parking (there are two lots, and the front filled up before we could get there both days, but the side parking lot has a little gate and so it’s not an inconvenience at all. Our room was up several flights of stairs but they were small steps and we had help with the luggage. There are little hidden castle gems everywhere - like skylights that look to turrets. And castle themed sconces. I would absolutely stay here again. It was so very lovely.
