I would recommend it! The stay exceeded our expectations! There are many places to eat, drink, and do in the area, which is quite pleasant. The room was tidy and nice. Although the bathroom was shared, it was spotless and felt like our own because there werent many people on our floor. Additionally, the personnel were friendly.

I had a wonderful time here. Especially since it was last minute. Although i wasnt well prepared, the staff was extremely helpful, and the communication between us was quick and reliable. Massuma was incredibly pleasant to speak to and to be treated. It was my first visit, but she was very informative and helpful. The room is simple, yet it has everything you need for supper or linger in for an evening! The communal bathrooms are true, however, clean and are conveniently located on every floor near all the rooms. There is he private unisex with hardly any shower. Night was the only time you encountered other visitors. Regarding the location, it is in the setts district not skid row, as many of the other reviewers who arent la residents have mentioned. In the center of so many delicious fresh restaurants and cafes, little tokyo is just ten minutes walk away! I will return frequently.

Its amazing for the price, with lots of restaurants nearby, and an amazing view. Unfortunately, the water and ice machine were also broken. My room was fairly small but worked. Bathrooms are close by but shared and can get quite unsanitary if not cleaned or restocked in a second.

Excellent, my new favorite hotel in los angeles. The tv is fantastic and oddly has great sound quality. They have every single channel available. It felt safe and spotless in the bathroom. If you have trouble with stairs, i recommend booking a room on the third floor and packing ten large water bottles. Pie restaurant downstairs makes for convenient takeout. A surprising and pleasant surprise was that the refrigerator had iced storage. Additionally, there are several bus stops less than 3.5 miles from the hotel, as well as danish la bus stop directly across the street. Bus and subway travel took less then 30 minutes, and it was probably able to walk because it is only one mile away. I adore this location.

We were guests at the american hotel and were very happy. The staff at this hotel are very friendly, especially mazuma. Its very clean. Wifi works very well and the beds are delicious to sleep on. Very comfortable. So if you need a good hotel in l.A., go to the American hotel!.

The hotel is located in the arts district, so its close to everything aka walking distance. There is always something to do and you wont be bored, from restaurants and stores to museums and galleries. The only negative thing i can say is that it is close skid row and that you shouldnt walk the streets alone if you stumble into skidding row, but as long as you stay safe, you should be fine. To wrap things up, ill say that the bathroom system is shared, which means that men and women have their own separate bathrooms on each floor, and the doors can close but cannot lock, making it possible for someone else to enter unless they need to go. Additionally, there is an allinclusive bathroom on every floor and it does have a lock allowing privacy when it comes to showering, this was my preferred method of use. Apart from that, my stay was enjoyable, therefore ive definitely come back based on an event nearby.

I would absolutely stay here again! Positive a great location, lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance, clean, easy communication to the hotel, good price, friendly staff. Negative i can hear the street noise but thats okay, we just wore earplugs. Showering was tad difficult as there was nowhere to put clean clothes and no locks on the showers so it was hard to get in.

From helping with an upgrade to cutting replacement room keys to ensuring that no forgotten items were left behind, the service at this american hotels was exceptional. Our family suite was spacious enough for our needs and more. If ive ever been to downtown los angeles again, this is definitely where ill stay.

This is the best place if you need a place to stay for a few nights in LA. Just keep in mind there are at least one flight of stairs to ascend to the room with luggage, if not two or three! The hotel is a few minutes walk from the Civic Center metro station. The downtown area is rather dodgy, but the hotel is in the arts district, so it's not as bad. Perfectly adequate room with to, comfortable bed, desk, and fridge, which we didn't realize were in the room, which was a significant bonus. There is 1 male and 1 female bathroom on each floor, with 2 toilets and 2 showers, which were very open and had no discreet space to change. There is also a private bathroom with toilet and shower, which is more private. They provide 2 water bottles every day, although one moment the bed wasn't made, and the bottles weren't replaced, but it was 4 the next day! You can ask for a kettle. Overall, the stay was pleasant, but it's a little out of the way for the la attractions.

Location. Everything about the trip was perfect, and it had a lot to do with how convenient this hotel was in location but also how kind everyone there was, especially the lady at the front desk.

The hotel exceeded our expectations for a room with shared bathrooms. It was spotless, and the staff was welcoming. We were close to where we needed to be. The only thing that left me feeling unhappy was the noise. Outside of our room, there seemed to have been commotion. My partner had to request that someone stop leaning on our door at one point so he could enter my room. This building is lovely. And the rooms are immaculate.

The room was clean. There is a safe in the room, tv, mini fridge, and desk. The staff at the front desk were helpful and polite. Bathrooms are clean and always smell like cleaning products. On the second floor, there is an open family bathroom. During my twoday stay, it was always empty. Otherwise, shared mens and womens bathrooms on the 2nd floor and shared women's on 3rd floor. Although the area is somewhat sketchy, you are centered in an arts district, so Saturday nights get pretty busy. People are talking on streets. Rooms do not have soundproofing. Other than that, overall, we had i had no real problems. Parking in front of the hotel is free, otherwise, its 25 cash for ten days worth of accommodation. A short walk down the street, this hotel has free parking, but you can park infront of your hotel for free.

The hotel is decent and reasonably priced. The arts district has slowly become upscale (craft brewery, art gallery, ethic shops, etc.). Even at night, the hotel environment is completely safe. Bedrooms are comfortable, especially the mattresses. Shared bathrooms are clean, but probably too few during high season. Kettle and hair dryer should be selfservice, not very convenient to ask reception. Hotel is generally quiet, however, phonic isolation is very poor, someone speaking a little loudly can very easily wake you up.
