In the loop, the Cambrian is conveniently situated in the center of the theatre district, literally above a theater and a block from state street shopping. You use one of three elevators to enter the lobby on the first floor to check. Check in was quick and easy, and the cozy lobby had a dark, clubby vibe. The bathroom appeared to take a significant portion of the space, though my king-size floor room was adequate. The space had a soothing earth tones with a minimal, contemporary appearance. The bed was comfortable and wasn't overflowing with pillows like so many hotel beds these days. It also featured a large wall mounted with a relatively limited number of channels, a mini fridge, and a microwave. The mentioned restroom was a roomy, overflowing shower. However, the half-length glass barrier resulted in a wet floor. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were available in the shower dispensers, but the room was unscented. I didn't dine at the hotel restaurant. Within a few blocks, there are numerous great eats. The blue line share dearborn station is one block away, and the orange line midway station at Statelake is a block and a half away if your traveling from the airport.

This hotel is fantastic! To see The Wicked, we traveled to chicago. Being able to exit the hotel, climb 50 feet, and enter the theater was a joy. Although there was street noise, our apartment was on the fifth level, which was relatively quiet. In Chicago, we have stayed in a number of different hotels, and they all have some street noise. I really enjoyed the room, which had lots of space, comfortable beds, and good floors, this is the first hotel I've ever stayed in that featured floors rather than carpeting This is the first hotel I've stayed in that had floor-less floors, which was fantastic. It was quite clean. A thermostat on the wall controlled the heating. It was quite quiet when the heater operated on. The heater cycled on in several hotels where the heaters were very noisy when they switched on. Excellent lighting! There are lights above and below the beds that give the room a light glow without having to experience the hefty lightbulb. The fact that the lobby is not on the main floor was the two things I didn't care about, which were two things that caught my attention, is difficult to explain. It was beautiful, but there was just a small quantity of water in the rain shower. The two things here were minor inconveniences that wouldn't keep me from returning.

The staff was friendly, and the room looked excellent. If you're attending a show in the loop, the location is excellent. However, the heat did not work well, and there was a kind of striped sheet in place of a bedspread or blanket, even the thickness of a duvet cover. We discovered a very thin polyester cover in the closet that was the wrong size for the bed. It was a queen size cover and a king size bed. Therefore, sleeping was not optimal. The keri machine in the room also failed. However, the hotel provides complimentary coffee on the lobby floor. And, as others have noted, the hotel lobby is on the ith floor, near the hall corner, and a bit further away from where the elevator begins. Although you must use your room key card to get up to floors higher than ith, there is no staff on the ith floor where the elevator stops. It's strange and a little unsettling. We wouldn't stay at this hotel again for all of these reasons.

It's a great spot to stay despite the hotel's exterior. Modern, spacious and clean rooms, hardwood floors, spacious closet space, clean and spacious bathroom with bluetooth mirror, subway tile rainfall shower and nice towels! The staff is helpful and welcoming. They have easy self-parking and a simple and casual restaurant on the first floor next to check-in counters. This is a great find if you want to stay close to theaters!.
