I was shocked when i saw there was a small kitchen in the room. Laundry service? The bed was very comfortable! Probably the best i ever slept on. This was a very surprising experience!

outdated and air is a bit stale when you first arrive, but very clean. full sized, quality (Dove) hygiene products provided in the shower, soft/clean sheets, clean dinette, and friendly staff. called to check on us 30 minutes after checking in. convenient before leaving out in a cruise tomorrow - would stay here again.

We were gathering in Galveston for a family event and the local hotel prices for Galveston did not impress me. I moved on to searching surrounding areas like Texas City and came across the Candelwood. This is the first time in a long time that I did not have one complaint about a hotel. Did not have to complain about the plumbing, the water temperature or pressure. Did not have to complain about lack of towels, even though the need for extra towels would seem to be an easy fix, plenty of hotel seem to have a hard time with it. I loved the small kitchenette, especially the full-sized refrigerator. The bed was extremely comfortable. The temperature in the room stayed consistent for me and my daughter. Mainly because there was a small oscillating fan that was already provided in the room that actually helped us to balance between the AC and the fan and keep the temperature at exactly what we wanted. It was small details like that which impressed me the most. There was nothing generic about any of the small touches. The soap, shampoo, conditioner, and even the hand soap at the sink that were all complementary was one of my favorite name brands. I could go on and say much more about our stay, but I think you get the idea. After the first night I told everyone in my family that if we had ever come back to the area I was definitely staying at the same place. When I checked out, which was very quick and convenient, I joined the rewards membership. Looking forward to future stays!
