I am SO glad we stayed here. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom shower was great and we actually had counter space (hard to get in some NYC hotels). The air worked great and it was QUIET. It's a tall, thin hotel and each floor only has 4 rooms, so it really kept things quiet. The location was ideal for us (near Central Park and walking distance from Times Square/Broadway) with lots of very close subway/bus access. The daily breakfast and access to snacks and good drinking water really made the trip so much nicer for us. All staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

Great location. Walkable to Times Square, Broadway, Central Park, 5th Ave shopping and subways. Super helpful staff. 1st time to New York so we had nothing to compare it too but rooms seemed very compact. That being said the room was very functional.

Great location! Just a few blocks from the theatres on the upper side of Times Square and a few blocks from Central Park. Several good restaurants nearby. Free breakfast. Excellent staff. Rooms were very well appointed and spacious enough. Immaculately clean. Free breakfast was nice but there was also an evening wine reception included. Luggage could be stored during the day. Really great shower. Fridge in room. Easy access to subway. I probably can’t afford to stay there again but sure would like to.

My son and I had a wonderful stay at the Carnegie Hotel from Wednesday, May 27 to Saturday, May 30, while attending a performance at Carnegie Hall. All the staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. I would especially like to thank Elijah and Yolanda K for their outstanding service and warm hospitality, which made our stay very comfortable and memorable. At breakfast on May 28, I took one bite of a packaged bagel and discovered it had mold. I then checked the expiration date printed on the plastic bag, and it appeared to be expired. I shared this only as helpful feedback for quality control. Overall, we appreciated the care we received and would be happy to return in the future.

I stayed here with my young daughter so we could explore Central Park for a couple days. We only stayed one night but it was very clean and very close to Central Park. We rented bikes right downstairs at Fancy Apple and it was convenient. The staff at the hotel were so helpful and professional. The snacks, water and coffee station and the afternoon wine and cheese were very useful as I was traveling with a child and food and drinks are so pricey in the city. There were to go boxes at the breakfast station so we packed up some breakfast items and picnicked at the park. When we checked out we were able to leave our bags with the hotel while we went to the MoMA which is only a few blocks away. When we returned we were able to use the hotel's guest bathroom and lounge area to rest for a few minutes before we headed back to the train station. We were very happy with the hotel and it's location. The only cons were the view (we looked out at scaffolding so pay extra for a view if it's important to you) and the mini fridge didn't really stay cool. We'll stay here again on future Central Park trips for sure!

Be prepared for very small rooms which are well designed and efficient. I’d go back although I definitely missed having a comfortable chair for relaxing. The location is perfect.

Very convenient location. Clean and neat room - There was only one desk chair in the room. Wished there was an extra chair. The room is small, so space may be an issue. Breakfast and cocktail hour were good. We liked that there’s a coffee machine that’s available in the dining area 24/7. We did not rent a car, can’t comment on parking situation. Staff were very helpful and nice.
