We enjoyed out stay at the Chalfonte Hotel. Staff was very friendly and it was a very comfortable stay. Loved having breakfast on the porch and hope to visit again in the future.

The Chalfonte is 150 year-old hotel. There is no elevator so be aware we had a room on the third floor. Lots of stairs room was small but we loved the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They carried our luggage up the stairs .restaurant is wonderful for both breakfast and dinner. On Thursdays it’s a wonderful band on the porch. Porch is a great hangout any night.

Such a cute place. It was charming and really felt homey. I would definitely stay there again. I always had hot water for showers and the air conditioning was always cold...which are big deals to me. I wish we had a television in the room, but understand that's not the vibe for a B&B. All of the staff was very helpful and polite. We had an amazing breakfast the one day we ate on property.

This hotel is extremely old, so there are not many amenities. The hotel is charming, great front porch, nice on site restaurant and bar. 2 blocks to beach. We love it here!

They were amazing! I had an injury while in Cape May and they were wonderful about changing us to first floor room. The hotel has an amazing history. Would definitely recommend it to everyone.

I was thoroughly happy with the Chalfonte Hotel (though I actually stayed in the "Southern Quarters," which is next door as a sort of add-on to the original). The accommodations were built in 1876, so of course the rooms are smaller than people are used to now, the hotel doesn't have elevators, and travelers can hear things go bump in the night. The room still had old marble-topped desks! Check-in was easy. The "breakfast room" was pleasant. I was happily surprised to discover that parking (at least in March) was easily available in front of the building. The location in general was great--close to the Cape May downtown, within walking distance, really. Absolutely charming building, built in the Queen Anne style that is usual for Cape May. The building was old--that's part of the appeal--but the interiors didn't seem shabby, and everything was clean. Highly recommended.

Very clean, cozy room with comfortable bed. Traveled in Feb so it was very quiet. Only con was the room was very cold but I didn’t realize until too late that there was an electric heater. Felt very welcoming and safe. McKenna was very pleasant and very helpful

Charming and historic, great location. Responsive staff. We stayed in off season, in the off season Amex, which had a small common space with microwave, dining table and kettle- convenient for breakfast.
