It was a good stay. We can into town to gamble however ALL hotels were booked solid as a storm had came through the day before and knocked out everyone’s power.! Check in was stated to be 3pm however it was changed to 5pm after getting there at three. It was very hot outside and at one point started raining however, the owner would not let anyone in the lobby. We did business outside though a small hole in the window. Guests had children and elderly in the heat waiting in a 20 deep line to check in. I stayed calm as I was there for pleasure but seeing the local people already have suffered storm damage, no electricity and no water, trying to pay to get their children and the elderly somewhere safe with air conditioning broke my heart. There were very weird rules posted such as “no smoking weed”. I thought that not smoking drugs is a regular policy and found it a little worrysome to have to put that in writing on the front window. However, the people around were good people and I enjoyed talking with them in line. Room was clean. Air worked. The owner was very nice to me and gave my cash deposit back even after I checked out late. Check out time is 10:30 and it is posted everywhere. I actually overslept and he had to call my room. I appreciate he still gave me my deposit back as I may not have been deserving of it. Thank y’all!!

Desk clerk was friendly, room was decent however I didn’t trust the towels. This was a last minute stay due to power outages after a storm. The problem was hotels.com once I arrived at the hotel the clerk gave me a different room that I paid for at the hotel. Desk clerk spoke with hotels.com and told them to cancel the reservation and refund me. Needless to say it wasn’t done and I’m still trying to get the refund
