Situation a stones throw from Shaw metro station it was perfect for getting around the city. There is also bikeshares just next to the station too. You can easily walk down the main tourist spots, it's about a half an hour walk to the White House. The staff were friendly. There was only one bathroom for 6 rooms, but luckily it wasn't full so you didn't have to wait long to use the bathroom / shower.

Very nice! Service was the best, the bed was comfortable, and the hostel is close to local transportation. The entire ground level was 4 bunks beds in each room which made easy access for everything.

The location was fiting for a vacation syle and with in walking distances of were i was working. The fact that mainly the homeless were constanly around made things more difficult granted those kind of places are more designed for students. However utalizing those all over the contry would help with the issues of the homelessness. I would recommend that staf keep up the good work.

Location: close to Metro station and Capital Bike Share and a supermarket (Giant). Not the best neighborhood but I did not feel unsafe although I did not left or arrived late at night. Reception open only after 10 am (closing time I do not know). If you have any problem when reception is closed I guess nobody will help you (for instance: you can be locked out of your room or even out of the hostel). Only one bathroom for all rooms (2 sinks, 2 toilets, 2 showers inside the bathroom). As the space is shared, there're privacy issues. They clean the bathroom, kitchen and rooms less often than necessary. The hostel provide towel and linens. No breakfast. Different from other hostels, I could not find instructions on what could be consumed: sugar, salt, butter? There seemed to be left items (cereals, noodle packages half used, biscuits). Maybe a few things that belonged to active guests were consumed by others, and maybe abandoned things that could help others ended at the trash. Simple instructions would avoid that. The hostel has a main building with 5 rooms and I heard they also have an annex with more rooms. I do not know if you have internal access from this annex to the kitchen, bathroom, lockers and reception. No lockers inside your room. There's a locker for small packages in the kitchen. A quarter every time you close it. There're a few cameras (corridor, reception, kitchen). The hostel has a microwave oven, stove, washing machine and drier, refrigerator, wifi.

Checked in without any issues. I stayed in 101 with 4 beds (2 bunks). What I found out later was that when housekeeping comes to collect the sheets of those whom have left they don't replace the comforter when they take the sheets so to be on the safe and hygienic side bring your own little throw. It was within walking distance to basically everything. I had no trouble walking or getting a cab (Lyft). The bathroom is very basic. They don't do breakfast but I did see a coffee pot and they have a vending machine.

Lady who lives there and “works” there was rude and lied on me and another guest. Another Lady almost set the hostel on fire cooking. No hand soap in bathrooms some days.

The room was tiny for four people. Luckily we were only two and three (different nights). It’s not too far to walk into the city centre, there’s also a metro and a bus stop that takes you to the centre. There’s a supermarket nearby. Some people staying there had stayed for a long time.
