We really didn’t have time to take advantage of any hotel amenities. The old hotel is quaint and we would surely stay there again.

Really cool hotel. Like going back in time. Retro aesthetic. Cool and even creepy but in a good way! I would stay again. Bed wasn't the most comfortable. Shower was and was really nice. Wish I could have stayed longer but was just passing through! Thank you! The gentlemen at the front desk was really friendly and helpful. I didn't catch his name but thank you!

The Decker Hotel is an amazing place. Like going back in history. The antique decor and old pictures of the place are great. We had a spacious room with a jacuzzi and a four-poster king size bed. Located right in downtown Maquoketa and walking distance to shops, restaurants and the brewery.

One would choose to stay here for the charm and experience of being in an old hotel. We got kind of a "double room" on the 3rd floor which was fine AND the elevator worked great. The owner was quite attentive and helpful.

This historic hotel was furnished with beautiful antiques! The staff was very friendly. The experience was different than modern hotels, but it was a lovely change of pace.

Very cool historic building with antique furnishings and super comfortable bed. Paid a little extra to stay in the presidential suite which was very cool. Suite had a whirlpool, and an awesome sitting room overlooking downtown. My only gripe is the whirlpool wasn't able to get very hot at all. I assume the water heater can't keep up for the tub's demand. One guy on staff was friendly and helpful. I was disappointed that the lounge/bar/restaurant is no longer in service. Great Mexican restaurant down the block though.

Worth a trip to Maquoketa, IA just to stay at the Decker Hotel. Charming, historic property at reasonable rates. Serve yourself breakfast was minimal but understandable given the cost. The faithful restoration lets you go back in time while still having modern comforts like central air and updated bathroom. We would go back.

Very cool place to stay. Huge room, plenty of space, and actual, comfortable furniture so we didn't have to debate "who gets to sit in the one desk chair in the room" which is often the case with hotel rooms. Huge windows, plenty of natural lighting, and so many beautiful antiques throughout the hotel to admire. The helpful, friendly staff just made it even better.

Not as many amenities as others, and the hotel itself is old and being upgraded. Elevator and lighting could both be modernized. Definitely worth the money we paid and the manager could not have been nicer! PS: we didn’t see any ghosts!

This hotel has the sweetest staff and the owner is very attentive! I struggle with sleep, however this bed was so comfortable, I instantly fell asleep and remained asleep. I woke up extremely well rested. I also got married during my stay. The room was beautiful and well lit, offering the perfect space to get ready for the big day.

Loved the Nostalgia. Surprisingly quiet for being downtown. The bed was comfortable and it has a modern elevator or you can get your cardio in by taking the grand stairways.

This was a very cute and amazingly fkash from the past experience. Beautiful hotel. We stayed in the presidential suite and loved it. Very clean amd romantic. Only issue was a sign outside making noise so loud we coule hear it all night but naustalgia i guess. Hubby experienced a bit of paranormal noises. Lady crying and a few other things but i slept like a baby. Would stay again.
