It was an OK stay, everything worked, and was fine for a last minute cheap stay. There was cigarette ashes on the back of the toilet though but the room didn't smell of smoke so idk....the air was ice cold, had hot water, and was right off my route. I don't think I'd bring a gf or anything but if you need a quick place to sleep it shall do the job.

I absolutely love being way up on the hill in the vicinity of beautiful trees! The staff was very friendly and accommodating to me as I wanted a specific room. The air conditioning was so cold, and I didn't even have it on high, I had to get blankets

The first room we were assigned was filled with smoke odor We wee moved to another room that was better. Be sure to indicate you want a non-smoking room if you are sensitive to smoke.

The room had not been dusted or vacuumed in what lloked like months. Dead roaches in the corner behind the entrance door and under the dining table. Walls were clean but looked horrible even from someone not expecting much for a cheap room. The bedding was the same in so far as dust and debris. The bathroom and sink area were cleaned and neat, beds made, trash emptied but that was about it. The total price was $44 for a night stay, but with fair to good reviews somehow, but now I know why it was a $40 room.

We requested 2 non-smoking rooms and when we entered the rooms they gave us, they smelled like 100 people had been in there smoking for 100 days. After only being in the room for a couple of minutes, my wife and her sister, who are highly allergic to cigarette smoke, were having troubled breathing. The reviews and the rating on the hotel were misleading. We wound up leaving and requesting a refund.

We were greeted by a nice lady who requested we look at another room since it had a king size bed instead of 2 queens and it was above the room but on floor level as we requested. At first when we walked in it was hot and moldy smelling and I thought it would go away when we turned the air conditioner up and left to go eat. The room looked clean but old and faucets needed repair. After returning after eating and concert later we found the air conditioner was not working and room still smelled. My husband said it was too late to do anything about it so we tried to sleep however I have asthma and the only way I could try to sleep was to sleep in a chair sitting up. The furniture was torn and old and when he got in bed while walking across the floor sock footed his socks were filthy. We will NOT go back and we had stayed there before and didn't have issues.Things have gone downhill so farewell FairBridge.
