We had a fantastic stay here. The resort is absolutely perfect, great location and amenities, it’s almost too good to leave to go exploring (but you have to!). The room, balcony and view was spectacular. If you are thinking of going here, stop thinking, just book it, and definitely upgrade to the Gold experience, it’s worth it. The private hostess, lounge, amenities, all top notch.

Very nice property. Excellent location - close to beautiful white sand beaches, close to shopping & dining. Nice BF. Waterfalls at the resort can be noisy at night if you enjoy sleeping with your balcony door open, and have a resort/pool/part sea view room.

We stayed here for our 10 year wedding anniversary and our stay was fantastic. Our ocean view room had a great view of the golf course and ocean. There is a private beach and the pool is open 24/7. The gold experience was top notch and we felt well taken care of. I believe the hotel is great without the gold but the gold put it over the top. We would stay here again with or without gold.

They upgraded us to a suite for our honeymoon. The rooms are newly redone and are so beautiful and thoughtful. The Gold experience made us feel like royalty, although I would think it would maybe include some parking perks or pool perks. The grounds of the hotel were outstanding. First time I ever thought - I would travel specifically to stay at another fairmont hotel.

Fairmont Gold at Kona is an an outstanding venue. People are trained, courteous and efficient. The price-value relationship is a winner. Comment, the beautiful tile floor in the shower was so slick neither my wife nor I dared use the shower. We are both healthy by the way, wanted to stay that way. A simple synthetic shower mat would be all that would have been needed.

The property was gorgeous and the views of the water were spectacular. We had an ocean view room that was worth the upgrade, and the beachside restaurants took full advantage of the views. We paid extra for the Gold package and the service was outstanding. Staff were friendly, helpful, and timely the making sure the breakfast, snacks, and evening appetizers were set up. Fitness center was top notch and concierge services at the resort made some high quality recommendations that saved us time and resulted in a great experience. The location of the resort in the Mauna Lani area near Kona is close to shopping and restaurants but far enough away that the grounds are serene and peaceful. Highly recommend the property and the upgrade to the Gold package.

The Fairmont Orchid is a lovely property, well groomed with waterfalls, koi ponds and beautiful flowers and trees all around. At night we fell asleep to the waterfall, in the morning we woke to birdsong. The staff was wonderful and attentive. Learning our names and engaging with us. Having the Gold experience provided us with a more dedicated concierge team, breakfast and canape which was all fresh prepared, local and delicious. Among the Gold experience staff, we engaged a lot with Samuel, Kacia and Lisa who all ensured our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. We look forward to returning to Hawaii and the Fairmont Orchid.
