Michael is a wonderful host! He made sure we had everything we required for a pleasant stay. He has an excellent grasp of homer's neighborhood and dinner suggestions, where he called ahead and made a reservation for us at the delicious Fresh Catch Cafe. Even in the rain, the views across Kachemak Bay were breathtaking, and the accommodations were extremely cozy. Our evening trip there, when we went there for a wine tasting, made our stay even more special.

We stayed at the good karma inn in the busy summer season this july and were so happy to avoid the crowds and stay in such a peaceful and beautiful location. We had previously stayed in a very popular hotel located on homer spit in November 2021. I wouldn't have wanted to stay in the same place this summer because the crowds took away the peace we had been looking for on our journey to homer. The inn offers a fantastic view of the bay, and we were completely at ease all the time. Michael the proprietor was very accommodating and made us feel completely at ease. Michael was also extremely helpful in helping us book a fishing trip, giving information about homer, and generally very knowledgeable about the area. In addition to the stunning position, I had a great time speaking with Michael about a variety of topics we had many interesting conversations over breakfast! We hope to be able to return to the good karma inn at some point in the future and highly recommend staying here!.

We stayed here for two nights and had a great time. The view from the window of the inn on Kachemak Bay is stunning. Michael is an amazing host who gave us delicious dinner ideas as well as excursions. We thought Michael's coffee was the best in Alaska.

Homer was even more special thanks to the two nights we stayed at the Good Karma Inn. The innkeeper, Michael, has already built the house, which is clearly a labor of love and is well versed in the area. He also gave excellent recommendations on local hikes, bear tours, and restaurants. It was difficult to leave because the views from our room's picture window made us feel like we were meeting other travelers over breakfast. We are eager to return!.

We highly recommend this place. Mike is a very nice host, he is always willing to explain what's in his possession. The accommodations were wonderful and all have beautiful views of Kachemak bay and 4 glaciers. Mike's friendliness made the journey very memorable for my wife and me.
