There is a small local business operating in this small community a few miles from downtown Belfast. The room was modest and spotless. The mattress was firm but cozy. I could have used an extra blanket as I like to sleep warm without turning up the room's heat. Although the bathroom needs renovation, it was nonetheless tidy and clean. Breakfast was a coffee and a pre-packaged muffin or Danish pastry, but it was enough for me. They are less expensive than the majority of other neighborhood eateries on this seashore town's coastal town in terms of price. Their owner was friendly and pet-friendly. Check-in hours are between 400 and 900 pm, so plan accordingly.

A star-rated place with low rates was on my radar because I was only searching for a place to stay the night while on vacation. After passing by an absolute dump just a half mile down the road, I was fortunate to have driven down the street to find the Gulf Motel. Although an older property, it is well-kept and the gull gives off a retro vibe that I found delightful and relaxing. My room and bathroom were both tiny. But all I required was enough. Everything was clean and tidy, and there was a tiny table with chairs outside in front of the room. The room has a large refrigerator and a microwave. However, there isn't a coffee maker. I couldn't wait till the lobby opened at 7 a.m. as an early riser. The gull is located on the busy Route 1, and you can view the water across the highway. It is located just minutes from the downtown district of Belfast, which is a lovely spot to walk around. I spent some time in town the previous night and the following morning. The proprietor informed me that there is a foot bridge within walking distance that crosses the river to the shipyard region, but I had no chance to see it out. By the way, a nice guy. The Gull Motel is undoubtedly something I can suggest to tourists.

The location is close to everywhere. The hotel also gave attentive service. The room was also clean and very spacious. I got a nice comfortable bed. And then, the bathroom had a deep bathtub and strong shower pressure but was very small. Subsequently, the price is still worth it considering the location and the service, especially if the sound from the road is minimal until late at night.
