Ill be back. The location was excellent. Everything was immaculate, including the bathrooms. It was simple to get around. Excellent staff promptly responded to my texts. Although i dont usually leave reviews, this place is worthy of five stars.4.8/511 Apr 2024

I would get this room again. This hotel exceeded my expectations for the price. We were given a room with two rather comfortable twin beds. It had slender tables, dressers, sinks, closets and an optional connection to the adjacent room. There was idly lockable shared bathroom and shower across the hall as well as two lockably accessible toilets. The second floor is 3.5 flights up because there is no elevator. When we arrived, the front door was locked, but there was one pin. Although the hotel had sent us the pin, ive not got it on my phone. They gave me the key when he called. I was instructed to download an app to open the door to my room via text. No checkin or checkout, and despite all of that hassle, having to go through it was really nice to not have to endure all that trouble. Even though the structure is old, it is charming. On the first floor, there are two restaurants. Oper houses and opera houses are close by. You can get anywhere in the bay area within 5.5 minutes of walking from market street. A boulangerie is one block away for breakfast, while salt and pepper are only two blocks away offering ice cream.4.8/514 Aug 2023

I came from New York and wanted to be close to my job. The Hayes Valley Inn is in the ideal location. The amenities are clean, functional, and located in the center of the city. The manager of the inn Wesley britain was really helpful. He made every effort to accommodate me and was invaluable during my transition to San Francisco. When you enter a city you have no idea about, it makes a major difference, with a smiling face ready to assist you and guide you. Thank you for making the transition so easy.4.8/526 Jul 2023

Very pleasant stay in the center of the hayes valley! Loved the location, walkable with plenty of transportation and dining options. We stayed in an annex building so the room was quiet but didnt have a sink or the same size as advertised online. The shared kitchen was equipped but if you add some extra items like i clean sponge, dishwashing liquid and dish cloth, the stay will be even more comfortable and homey. 5 stars for cleanliness and he is ok overall.4.8/527 May 2023

We were very impressed with the quality of the hayes valley inn considering the price. The room was very clean and spacious, with nice large windows facing the street. Checkin and checkout process was quite easy, although it is a bit strange there are no hotel staff on site that we noticed. Great common kitchen and dining room! Good location too. Really good value for your money and would definitely stay here again.4.8/525 May 2023

This place is worthy of a high rating. We stayed twice in this place. The location is excellent, the queen beds are comfortable, and the hotel has sympathetic vibes. One of the best features was the community room, which had id like to see the street view. If we visit frankfurt, well return!.4.8/520 Mar 2023

This hotel is in a great price range. This hotel is conveniently located for sightseeing because it is close to public transportation, many of the best restaurants, bars, and public transportation. The location is convenient to walk around. There is a sink that is very convenient, a large and comfortable room, and much more space than I wanted. The hotel was really clean, including the common areas and bathrooms. The self check-in process was simple and quick, and I had all the information I needed to quickly locate my room.4.8/515 Mar 2023

This hotel is located in the heart of downtown san francisco. If you dont mind sacrificing a private bathroom and sized living space, this hotel offers excellent value! The atmosphere of large city life combined with the charm of old town dwellers are evoked by this historic hotel.4.4/521 Aug 2024

My cousin from the back east stayed here on the advice of her sf business friends. The place was quiet, tastefully decorated, and clean for being a survivor of an old fashioned victorian neighborhood. To prove its age, each floor has idly sanitary facilities and bathrooms. On the second floor, there was utensils and crockery and other items in the kitchen and dining table, which were very welcoming. There was much going on because the hotel is located in gentrified area, but if you research online, many ethnic and affordable restaurants are close by. Best of all, the hotels location is 10 minutes walk to bus or bart transportation, beautiful nyc city hall, an Asian art museum, and the lsb main library.4.2/522 Jul 2023

If this inn was relocated, it would receive two stars. I was pleasantly surprised by the electronic key and the self-check-in options. The location makes it worthwhile, but the location was excellent. The electronic key and the mattress were both effective. After walking around town all day, I was constantly worried that my phone would fail and I wouldn't be able to return to my room, but thankfully, that didn't happen. The accommodation was adequate. The pillows were extremely firm, and the mattress was uncomfortably difficult. The communal restrooms and shower was excellent, and I enjoyed the restroom and shower with a sink. They were all immaculate. There was little room for anything else to put anything else because the shared refrigerator was so full. I believe that they should place labels and dispense things once a week. I realize other reviewers have previously stated this, but either they ought to provide breakfast or discontinue referring to themselves as a bed and breakfast. Only the instant coffee that tastes like jet fuel was offered, despite the fact that they have implemented many of these guidelines that are completely understandable, it seems like they are conserving them out to reduce costs. Having said that, the setting is fantastic! It felt safe to stroll about at night, being close to Japanesetown, and having lots of excellent food is generally sufficient. It was simple to find anywhere else in the city4.2/521 Jun 2023
