Really nice place, close to public transport and in a nice area. Stayed here twice and plan to again whenever I'm in the area!

The house is homey and has all the amenities of being home (except for cooking, only microwave). Dan was very nice and helpful. Easy walk to subway and Boston, things to do around the house. I’ll definitely stay here again.

I enjoyed sharing the space with other guests and getting to know them. It's a 10 minute walk to the train station.

This is a wonderful place to stay in old colonial Boston. Dorchester is a community in Boston, I am a Bostonian. the family welcomes you and is very accommodating. You feel safe in a sound neighborhood.

This place was fine for a single overnight stay, with a good kitchen and common room.

The room was large and clean. Three bathrooms all clean and modern. Available food in the kitchen. Kitchen stacked with essentials. There was a mall nearby.

This is basically a student share, where you will get a room from a kid off for the summer, with shared bathroom (clean enough, but towels provided smelled moldy, so we went out to but a new one). One bed was missing a top sheet, and bottom sheet looked wrinkled, which made us worry about clean sheets. The cleaning lady was very helpful and polite and assured us it was. The kitchen was very clean - but only good for coffee. All warming up food or cooking discouraged. Rooms and hallways could use a fresh paint job, it just felt unkept. Neighborhood felt safe. We did get approached by someone selling stuff in the corner one night, who got upset at us when we ignored him and started yelling obscenities. Mall area near by has plenty options to eat. It seems to get rowdy at night. So if you’re backpacking or you are VERY comfortable with subpar facilities this is a good choice..

There is a new house under construction next door, and the construction work starts at 6:30 AM. If you're planning to sleep past that time, don't expect a quiet morning. Right after making the reservation, I contacted the host through Expedia to cancel my booking. I didn't receive any response for several days. When the host finally replied, the only response was, "Please follow the attached rules," where I discovered that cancellations were only allowed within the first few hours after booking. By that time, the cancellation window had already passed because the host had not responded in time. I tried contacting the host again but never received another reply. As a result, I had no choice but to keep the reservation and stay at the property. Also, the property is located in a residential neighborhood with very limited street parking. There is no dedicated parking available at the property. Not going to stay there again.

Do not save money by booking this AirBnB place, so-called "Homestay". Guests had to carry luggage to narrow and tall stairs when entering the door. Parking was terrible on the street, scarcity and only available from 2 PM to 10 AM, otherwise you will get a ticket or towing away your rental car. Shared bathroom with other guests, too long to take turns, cleaning staff cleaned the bathroom before the check out time that waisted guest time even more. So many ridiculous rules like a kid is living in a parent's home. Bed mattress was so thin that you do not feel any comfort mattress at all. Not even giving small towels for faces or washcloths. It is not worthy to save some bucks for this very inconvenient and terrible conditions stay for your trip with many headaches and hardships.

This is a bed and breakfast with 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and one restroom. Everything (body soap, toilet brush, covers, towels) is cheap, the original soap, for instance, being replaced by a bad one. Next to the house, another is flipped so there are noise starting very early. Another issue I had several times: doors do not close properly. So if someone leave light on the landing, it is like there was light in the room. Very annoying. I don't recommend this b&b

I felt unsafe when I first arrived because several people in the property were smoking and being very loud. The same day I contacted Travelocity to cancel my reservation for the remaining 8 days and keep only 2 days so I would have time to find another hotel. However, the hosts contacted me and asked me to leave the very next day. I explained that I planned to stay one more day while I arranged other accommodation, but they still required me to leave and let me stay that day. As a result, I ended up losing the money for the 8 days that I had already canceled and could not use. That was a bad experience! Additionally, I had to carry my luggage up two floors up stairs, which made the situation even more difficult.
