All the staff from the extremely helpful front desk, housekeepers, who always said good morning when I passed in the hall, and room service were warm and friendly. Speaking of room service, (which is either a luxury or a total sad waste of money depending on where you stay) the food was quick, hot, and very yummy!! I don't usually do room service because in the past it's been disappointing, but it was my daughter's birthday and there are just some things in life you have to try at least once. Breakfast room service here was excellent. Kudos to the chefs. It was close enough to walk everywhere (the Amtrak station is only 30 mins away - but I'm from NY and walk all the time), the beds super comfy, and it was lush to have a great shower and warm robe to come back to at night. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks to all!

The hotel was beautiful. The lack of a hotel bar and restaurant were hard to adjust to. We didn’t want to order in-room dining every time but we didn’t want to necessarily walk to get breakfast somewhere. The restaurants attached to the hotel were not open until later, definitely not for breakfast. So that was probably the ultimate letdown about the hotel. Also, charging $75/day to park, when you’re staying 3+ days, is crazy. There are no parking lots close by. That isn’t a bad thing if it’s nice out and you don’t have a ton of luggage. But when we arrived, we had multiple bags and it was raining. Otherwise, the rooms were wonderful and clean, the views were great if you walked to the 2nd floor balcony. PHENOMENAL location if you’re going to the Red Sox game. Unsure if we would stay here again, but that isn’t the hotels fault. We’re just a little more comfortable away from the traffic of the city.

The staff was exceptionally helpful and welcoming. Rooms were spacious and clean, and housekeeping was very responsive. Breakfast can be provided in room or in the lobby, so please be aware that there is no common dining area. The quality and quantity of food was great-- well worth it! Would absolutely stay here again.

Stayed at The Commonwealth during a weekend visit to BU. During check-in, the front desk attendant (calvin) was incredibly kind, patient and helpful. Our room was pristine, comfortable and spacious. During our stay we used the hotels umbrellas and room service (very resonably priced). This will definitely be our go-to hotel.

I really loved my stay at the Commonwealth Hotel. It is clean, friendly, well-staffed and just a pleasure to visit. It’s right next to Fenway Park and close to the MFA and the Gardner museums. The staff members were fantastic! I will definitely stay there the next time I visit Boston.
